Anyone listen to dubstep?

good interview with benga in new mixmag "if skreams tune is big then i want to make one bigger"

i still need to go to fabric when its a dubstep night.

I recently started listening to this new sub-genre of dnb about 6 months ago. Used to listen to a lot of darkstep, artists like Tech Itch, Black Sun Empire, basically anything VERY heavy with lots of bass. But dubstep is good to chill out to.

lol, Tech Itch and BSE are two groups which I mix regularly. Their tunes are really quite good. I like the raw brute force of Tech Itch whilst the trance/techno influence found in BSE is really nice (and beast to use in 3 deck mixing :) )

Kinda on topic, can you recommend more DJs/acts that are similiar to Black Sun Empire and 'darkstep' in general? :) I too love a lot of heavy bass. :o

I've heard this kind of music a few times before and enjoyed it, never really looked into it, but I'm liking this radio link you posted, Kobrakai. Can anyone recommend any essential albums/podcasts that I should get to downloading as an intro?

Roots Manuva - Movements

Not dubstep, but a couple of tunes.

The Herbaliser - Starlight Ft. Roots Manuva

The Roots - Seed 2.0

Dubstep for me right now seems a lot more innovative than than D&B right now, but I guess this is because D&B is "tried and tested" so to speak.

As with D&B, you need a half decent soundsystem to appreciate it...

Try these on for size:
Pinch
Milanese
Wedge
Coki
Toasty
Vex'd
Mathhead
Loefah
Martyn
Vaccine
The Bug
Rusko
Jazzsteppa
Mala
Distance
Burial
Benga
2562
Boxcutter
Reso
Cotti
Kode 9

Dupstep + Bodysonic =

I saw Drop the Lime there a few months ago and it was flippin awesome. He played some remix of 'Night' and when the bass kicked in you could really feel it.

It is all about the new Chase and Status tune that they are bringing out.

Indian Dub, or Easter Dub (has been called both iirc)

Cant find it atm for people to lsiten to, but it is INSANE.
