Verdict

There could only be one winner, as the Collinite’s beading was way ahead of the rest. Liquid polish fans should go for Meguiar’s Cleaner Wax, while the CarPlan EcoCar is the green choice.
Top 3

1. Collinite No476S
2. Meguiar’s Cleaner Wax
3. CarPlan EcoCar Polish

Anyone fine the fact that they are comparing waxs and polish in one "review" pretty silly? They both do completely different things! :o

I think this is the wrong sort of forum for this sort of thing.

Sorry, I heard they used a bmw to test the products on?

(Any better?) :D

Well Auto Express did recruit it's entire staff from one of those special schools and hence is completely retarded when it comes to offering anything in the way of automotive advice.

Got to agree here they waxes they have tested are on all different levels. I could have told them collinite would have won.

But supposidly they used beading to find out the winner, beading doesn't prove how good a wax is.

This is AutoExpress. It is The Sun of the motoring world, a collection of press releases and dodgy photoshops. It is an appalling magazine.

chap who owns the local motor store, has been running motor parts/accessories stores for about 25 years.. he's pretty knowlegable, but thinks wax is polish?, hence doesnt have any real waxes, and secondly, doesnt have a clue what a "clay" bar is...

Ive noticed a few shops dont know what a clay bar is (hence, dont stock it)... anyone else find this?

yea... you just have to look at those small local computer shops to find the same sort of thing too, aparently theres no such thing as a fan bigger than 80mm! lol

I think it is pretty dumb comparing polishes and waxes in the same test :/

then again when you have a product called 'triple wax car polish' it might be hard to draw the line :/

there only seems to be a handful of true polishes int hat test though. I mean I have been using MER ( blue bottle) for years, I use it as the final stage for polishing clear coats instead of the usual blacktop polishes found in refinishing and i cannot fault it. the review seems to be going at a different angle though.
