The biggest ass whopping you ever received?

Me and Step dad taking the old Elan out down the motor way, cruising along, TVR Tuscan comes up our back... step dad boots it a bit and the TVR just FLYS by making the one of the best noises I've ever heard.

What is it with you guys? Seriously?

All this talk of arse-handings and the like. It's not fair :(

In 8 months of owning my CTR, not once has anybody even tried nor have I met anyone to 'try' on. Bah!

I'm in West Sussex. Full of similar cars to mine, most of them are elsewhere when I'm on the road, and the ones that are about are driven by 40-something housewives!

Role change

I had a stock looking metro Gti made to looks bike a stock car with steel wheels and limo black windows and a big kenwood sticker in silver matching the colour of car in rear window. It had no front bumper and the exhaust came out behind the front wheels.
I made to look like some Chav had maxed it up :D

It had a secret tho

It was a rebuilt 1800 VVc on 45 webbers with rebuild box for track days

It started out as a Gti, mpi that i got for 45 (blown engine) stolen recovered.
The 1800cc rad was moved forward so the bumper wouldnt fit (hence lack of)
the limo tint film hid the fact that it was stripped out and hole sawed, to remove all dead weight. It only had one seat

The stubby exhaust hid the sound of the carbs. (old system cut and welded up)

It was quick in a straight line but handling wasnt that good (coil over conversion would have cost more than the whole car)

165bhp @ wheels and weight nothing !!!! (came from a seven superlight that went honda powered, 600)

My i made it for trackdays

I used to spank many a sports car and they were like WTF!!!!!!!
Few asked me to pull over and were shocked at it!!!!

From 30 to 100 it was mental (to scary to drive over 110 due to being a brick).

It was stolen and burned out less than miles away from my home, hidden fuel tap so it run out of fuel, do it to all my cars. Better chance of getting it back !!!!

I will dig up some pictures of it !!!

Only one that really stands out for me was many years ago when I was just a (Jack the..) lad in my 3.0S Capri coming home from Manchester airport doing over a ton (It was safe back then, honest) and a huge great Bentley in front of me, so I flashed my lights to get this big fat thing out of my way, all I remember next is seeing two tiny puffs of smoke from his exhausts, the back end of it dropping right down and it totally vanishing off into the distance as if I was in reverse gear, I've never felt so humbled in a car since.

Street racing is baaaaaad mmmkay.

Never come across anyone with a fast car wanting some fun. Did try pursuing an some Aston Martin that was making his own way at speed but didnt stand a hope in hell in catching up.

A few years ago I was cruising up the A1 (at the speed limit) in my GT. Just coming on a roundabout and I see a 3 series catching me. Me thinks that I'll embarrass him on the roundabout, him being just a poser in a 3 series.
Not only did he catch me further on the roundabout, but then virtually sucked me off the road as he accelerated past me. Teach me to take on an M3.

pretty much any car that actually does something when you put your foot to the floor, beyond 1st and 2nd my car has nothing, has nothing in 1st and 2nd but it feels like something when you red line it (my car is going to break on me isnt it :D )

Tried it on with a mk2 MR2 turbo, not a good idea, totally beat me. :D

I do sometimes do it in return to other cars, mainly when it comes to corners strangley enough thinking my car isn't the best round corners. The other week off some lights going towards a roundabout, a you guy driving a brand new 320i, must have been the ~170bhp version beat me off the lights to no surprise. When it came to the roundabout though I overtook them round the outside, he seemed like he was trying to go for it too.

Last year having a spirited side by side in my civic with a clio 192 coming of a roundabout onto dual carrigeway, about 120 i pulled in, in front of the clio just in time for a mid 90's bentley turbo r to go stonking passed the both of us. Really surprised at that considering the size of the thing till when i found out it was dad's mate that was driving and he showed me under the bonnet after... 6.8 twin turbo?! or was it 6.7.. cant remember... somewhere over the 400bhp mark anyway, but aparently bentley dont quote bhp figures or top speeds on those earlier models.. at least i couldnt find any!

well it has amazing torque whatever it is.. he took me for a drive in it.. was doing about 80mph in the dry, he nailed the throttle, it kicked down a gear and the back end stepped out in a straight line!!
No traction control... just scary car.

Me and my mate got totally destroyed by a mk3 golf when out in the T5 on the a19. It looked like some nasty chav mobile. Kept up with it on way to a19 easy.. Then my mate "ill have him on the 19 easy watch".. both nail it down the slip road and this golf is pulling away we got to about 130 with the golf still pulling hard away. My mate slowed and i laughed. Was pretty funny

I find the KA my limiting factor.

Maybe at the traffic light GP but on any given set of tight twistys and the gokart handling of a ka come to the fore!!!!!

sticky rubber uprated shock n springs and big wide wheels (17x 7 with spacers and transit wheel bolts) help too
