As title really. I've got a tonne of beers that I would like to bring home for mid-semester tomorrow and a big space in my bag dying for somethng to be put in it, but I am unsure as to whether or not it will be allowed. It's not flammable and is certainly not spirits - Buds. I'm hoping that I can gain some clarity from the more "experienced" members. Thanks. ;)

I brought over a load of tins of beer once in my hold luggage. It was perfectly fine although the security guy pulled me to the side and asked me what they were.

Should be ok I think, I came back from Spain with a few bottles of absinthe in my luggage with no problem :)

They sell alcohol in airports in the duty free zones don't they?
If so then I guess you're allowed them.

I don't really see what the issue is though to be honest. I mean, Buds are not flammable at all. I think I'll try and bring a few back and if I lose them then it's no real big deal. Thanks guys.

It will be fine.. i have taken alcohol in hold luggage on flights all over the world..

Only problem you may run into is weight.. depends how many you're planning on taking haha

It is fine, I've brought beers and spirits over myself although as chez says you may want to weigh the bags before you try so you don't end up in the situation where you have to down a few beers to get through check-in like one of my mates did. Remarkably difficult to get rid of beer at that point apparantly.
