Ive sweared so many times trying to do this, the mission is unbelievable.

On veteran I have had the chance to take the shot at the end twice but hit the hostage both times and nearly cried the second time.

I'm taking a break just now but tomorrow is another day!

Anyone done it or tried it and given up?
 
Given up. I kept watching videos on youtube to see how it was done but the furthest I could get was the second room of up stairs after about 10 tries :(
 
Did it after a very furstrating swear ridden long session.

My break through was picking up the shotgun asap (knife guy on left in toilet, move into left room, pop guys at distance and throw smoke and shotgun should be on the floor as soon as you enter this first cabin.

I kept struggling for time but after changed to this tactic I completed it in a matter of minutes with over 10 seconds to space.

Worth perservering as the rush I actually got from actually finishing it was exhilerating.
 
Its the only remaining level I have yet to do on CoD4 but I simply cba to waste my time on it.
 
I finished it after about 3 hours total of trying it. First time I actually got to the hostage I killed the terrorist and completed it. Had I missed I might well have given up. However, the feeling you get when complete it great. Keep trying and you shall prevail!
 
Don't know why people bother with stupidly difficult levels like this. Is the sense of achievement really worth the hassle?
 
I really struggled with it until I followed a method that seems to work. Now it's not so hard. Just make sure when you unload the pistol in the first room that you swap for a P90 from a killed enemy. It should have enough bullets to finish off the room before going into the next using the flash bang. (Go left and duck down there)

This helps no end due to the massive mag. You only have to hit enemys once to stop them shooting and as long as you push forward your team mates will clear up.

Upstairs turn right so you are on the left side of the room, there will be one guy to shoot. Take him down and flash bang, then just spray a p90 as you run the the wall. Keep shooting thru the wall too. Reload behind the wall whilst your team mates move up.

From there another flash bang and run for it taking the last 2 with the spray and pray method of the P90.

It is important to keep pushing forward as this utilises your team mates.

As for the head shot, just keep waiting, with about 1 second to go there is a really clear shot as he pops his head out to the left of the hostage.

I wouldn't bother, when you get there's a few more flashes on the side. There is easily enough for one per room.

If you have managed to get to the guy twice at the end, then you are doing it correctly, you just need to take your shot more carefully at the end. You only get one shot on veteran.

Do that, exit out of the door to the right and enjoy :)

I missed first time (went to the left not hitting anyone) second shot got him in the head.

Still worked.
 
I found that shooting him in the leg was easier, he lets go of the hostage for a brief second which is enough to finish him off
 
Not done it yet and I'm really struggling with it. Had to take a break and do Bully instead.

What's really irritating is when you see the video (on Youtube) of the guy doing it without taking a single shot until the final hostage bit! He just uses flashbangs and the knife (yes, on Vet). That's mental :eek:
 
I did shoot him the first time I got to the end. I'd hate to think what would have happened if I'd have missed; at the very least my mrs would have banned me from the 360 for life.

The only advice I can give at the end is take a deep breath and don't rush. Wait for that perfect head shot opening as it will come.
 
I tried but I couldn't do it. It's just ridiculously hard and would take me ages so I sent it back to the rental company before I ripped my eyes out.

The first two times I got to the hostage I hit him twice because I rushed it :( I could have cried.

My point was more "don't flash yourself or your team, or throw pointless flashes at 2 guys" :o

I found it harder on "Hardened", but then again, I put a good hour in to perfecting my route, so it was a case of repeating the same thing on Vet.

I must have taken it the wrong way. I believe for the whole of the plane you do get 8 flashbangs though which is more than enough, especially seeing as you don't get the extra flash bangs until the the secont to last room, before the corridor and the hostage scene.

It is all about a route though, the video's on youtube till help if you need them, but it is possible and with a bit of patience you can do it.

Basic route I took is:

Kill the guy in the bath room, head left side, kill the guy at end, flash bang the room, kill a couple and move to the right hand side, get behind cover (seats), kill the two behind the bench, flash bang and move up, kill the ones down the stairs and move up and head left on the stairs. Flash bang and move into the room (team mates should be with you) Head through the left hand side of the room and kill the guy behind the wall. Pick up the FB's, fb the back left of the room and move up the corridor, FB the end of the corridor and kill the two guys and you then have the hostage situation. Remember you only have one shot to do this in (you cna't shoot the leg for example in vet).

It is do-able and does take a period of time to do, but you do get a good feeling of satisfaction for doing it.
