Is it me, or does everyone look the same face wise? lol. I'll wait to see the post-release reviews, as I didn't bother touching SvR 2008, despite SvR 2007 being my most played game on the 360.

They need to add more gametypes, or even let you have more players on-screen.

SvR2007 was a good game, but 2008 felt very much a carbon copy imo.

Looks good! But the old SvR system, whilst being updated a lot, isn't new or refreshing, its a rehash of an 8 year old SD engine, even older if you go back to the Japenese games using that engine first.

Don't get me wrong, looks good, and I will pick it up, nmw, but i'm just gagging for a brand new engine :)

The smackdown games have been a cash cow ever since Here Comes The Pain. I'm much more excited for the new TNA game, the developers are actually trying to make a better game.

This game needs a complete overhaul. Starting from scratch and building something new rather than dishing out the same old crap each year.

The controls in this years version were shocking!

This game has turned into the new EA Fifa!

I'd say 2008 was a massive step back in many areas. The story mode (VIP) was a lot worse in 2008. Having wrestling styles totally limited the freedom of the user. The new controls werne't as good.

2007 was brilliant, 2008 was a major disappointment.

Aye, perhaps I didn't put enough in my post.

I was referring to the general "look and feel" of 2008 vs. 2007. In that dept. they just changed the title on the cover, and put a different person on front.

I don't like either to be honest, the match's can be over too quick in 2007.
'Accidently' clothes line the ref for longer fights :p

I love 2k7. I've been in some ladder/briefcase ones that have gone on for around an hour. lol by that time everyone's damage was on solid red and bloodied to hell :D

The SVR series has always been average to me. They haven't really progressed with it since the PS2.

No Mercy and Wrestlemania for the N64 were by far the best wrestling games. The TNA Impact game looks more encouraging, but then again I haven't cared about wrestling since The Rock left :p

I hope they got back to the old style :/

2008 2007 were pretty crap. Dont think ill bother with this one, just a demo

I have 2008, and its alright i guess. I get a bit of a kick out of creating my own wrestlers.

Whatever they do with the next installment, i hope they sort out the stupid loading screens for EVERYTHING. Everytime you do something you have to wait 30+ seconds while it loads. Also, the netplay is laggy as hell, that might be because i've only played with people on the other side of the planet.

Seriously, whats up with the auto matching crud? I'd much prefer to see a list of matches and be able to pick one without the game doing it for me... and failing badly.

Hadn't played one of these since PS2, my mate got 2008 on 360 and playing that I was like "What's the change target key?" and he said "Dunno, don't think there is one." .. seriously what? Controls were never a strong point of these games but getting rid of that key has just made it even harder to do what you want to do. Pretty retarded imo, wonder if it will return in 2009.
