Avoid this area then! at a stand still for a few hours according to one of our sales reps. He is stuck literally 20 mins from the office and can't get off the road!

Snicker

I saw a bloke in a people carrier (taxi) almost go into the other lane on the M3 today .. he was lucky that there was a grass verge he could pile into .. 50 or so more yards up the road and it would have been straight into the back of the traffic or into the other lane .. pillock

Lucky I only had to go to Witney today!

Apparently there were accidents further up towards London too around J3 and 4 :(

Chap at my work got 12 months ban and £750 for dangerous driving a few weeks ago - he pleaded guilty to it.

Got off lightly, hope this guy doesn't as someone has been hurt and thousands of peoples travel plans disrupted.

Whoa, what exactly did he do?

Yep - just spent our anniversary at a hotel near Warwick, made our way back to slough via the a-roads which weren't too bad i suppose, thank god i had the radio on as we were leaving to join the M40 !

So orange si slow and red is stopped? How are they so acurate?

It's Traffic Master. It gets a live feed from the cameras on almost every motorway bridge and works out the average speed. The numbers are the speed, i.e. 0 = 0mph, 15 = 15mph.
