Who has anything planned motorbiking wise this year?

i'm pretty new to biking on the roads having only had a licence 12 months before being banned but now i have another road bike nearly 6 years after last losing it so i was wondering what was going on...

i used to go to the wild ox on the A46 until it shut then nowhere after that.

i know MFN is on up derby way which is great on a wednesday night.

any others worth going to? i'm after ones with a low police presence and decent roads so as nice as matlock is i find it boring unless i have a pillion.

also been to the peak district to dovedale and again, as nice as it is... it was boring as too many people walking etc. nice roads but can't go very quick.

or alternatively any other places worth going to within a couple of hours drive of leicester?
 
Well im meeting my dad at Calais in Aug and we are riding to our villa in Spain, the wifes, are flying, we will do a 4 day trip, bit of sight seeing, but its going to be slower than normal as dad has just got a new Triumph America, looks like we will be in the slow lane:rolleyes:
 
Pass my bike test, have done my theory and CBT, just need a 125 to get a bit of experience on, any1 recomend a good learner 125, geared preferably?

i passed on my Cagiva Supercity, rapid for a 125. Got robbed about 4 weeks after passing test, was gutted but it got me on my first 1000cc bike much quicker.

anything like a CG125 or CB125 or GS125(?) that's similar to what the instructors use to be honest. or if you can get a restricted or full licence, a 500 or 650 is perfectly feasible. :)
 
just done my DAS 3 weeks ago!
got a GSX-R 600...lovely machine
the more I ride it the more I want to get back out and ride it

would love to do a european trip when I have more experience....maybe in the summer if my g/f has her licence sorted by then!
 
I'm planning to get back on mine this year :)

been off it for 6 months , got two frozen shoulders & I can't move my arms enough to get my leathers on :(
 
I'll be riding to the french Grand Prix this year. (june i think)

Went to Donington last year, doing france this year. not sure what F1 i'll be doing next year.
 
I plan to do my DAS license and hopefully get a bigger bike. 4 days on the 125 and the lack of power is starting to get a bit tedious.

Once I've got a bigger bike, I might do a UK tour (visit some friends up north and in london) or maybe even cruise around europe.

Failing that I just want the weather to be nice and warm for once!
 
Just got back from my First Track Day at Donington :D Was awesome lol, first half of the day was raining non stop I dont know how I didnt come off with my bald back tyre, aqua planing down a straight is not fun, Afternoon was good though 1 drying session then two dry sessions :D will post up a few pics if I find some good ones :p

To Do Today:

Turn bike back into road bike :p
Fit new front sprocket and chain
Fit Gilles Rearsets :D

I'm planning to fit some 125cc engine to a Honda Cub90 my friend has in his garage and wants rid of.. then go to germany and do some laps on the nurburgring :D
