dumb question

how does the sky remote work with its iR sensor behind a wall ?

You basically just have IR repeator. It's a little box with a IR receiver, with several wires coming out of it. On the ends of the wires are IR blasters, which you stick to every IR capable device that's not in sight of the main IR remote.

There are more fancy ways of, ie Creston with a controller, RS232 etc but these cost quite a bit. IR can be a bit flaky. Also difficult to have multi-room, and reporting of the devices (ie your remote will show that x TV is switched on and on a certain channel)

Hiya Munkeh.

Looking awesome! Got a question for ya. Do you have the dimensions of your Sony Amp? Buying one tonight but need to know if it will fit my cabinet.

Cheers Buddy
