Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone here uses the CG Lock Click Me ! ?

Its basically a lock that means you can make your seatbelt hold you as tight as you want.. into your seat !

I'm thinking of getting two for my car as the seats don't realy hold you in place as well as they should round bends and roundabouts when you drive a bit quick..

RRP is £40 each.. so I don't want to spend my money and find out they are carp.

Or, the simpler solution... Drive normally round sharp bends and roundabouts, rather than "a bit quick"?

Ok, abit quick is my idea of.. ermm.. fun driving.

I don't mean stupid speeds if you get my idea..

I've got Phase 3 leather / alcantara seats in my HDi and I get the feeling that they were designed for large french people..

I've heared lots of good things about the CG lock, it works really well by all accounts.

Tempted by one myself

I have one in my Dolomite. Love it. Really helps with control of your pedals, and you don't have to hang onto the steering wheel too. I would really recommend it, can't wait to get my bucket seat installed and use it with that. Few of my mates have them which each one feeling good with it. One thing it is useful for, it stops you slouching on motorways.

Drexel, Definitly get one, will work superb with the seats in the DC2. On the Ocuk track day I forgot I had it otherwise I would have offered it for someone to use.

Superb, thankyou Saitrix..

I will be purchasing one of these very shortly.. still not sure whether to get one for the passenger though.. :p

Well worth it. From a driving point of view it does exactly what it claims and holds you in place, yet gives your upper body the freedom to move when you need to unlike a harness!

From a passenger with back problems point of view they are brilliant too. Phil took his out of the road car this week and I was wincing in pain when he took roundabouts and corners today. Needelss to say he put it back in when we got home!

I'd highly recommend them.

yeap we bought a couple when piston heads were doing a group buy when they first came out, awesome support as opposed to std belts, and especially for cars you cant change the seats in to give more support i.e. our vette.

dont really see any benefit for the passenger, it can be uncomfy for long journies, and really your passenger doesnt need to be supported too much unless you are a rally driver :D

I'd beg to differ re the passenger needing one. I can't comment on a normal healthy person but if they have lower back problems they will find it a real benefit not having to support themselves or be in pain when on roundabouts and corners.

Would these be ok in a car with seat belt pre-tensioners? Just wondering out of interest really, they sound like a good idea but I drive like an old woman so stay where I should be :p

How many are interested in buying one of these?

I sent an e-mail to see about a group buy/bulk purchase and had a reply back today with the following prices:

-for 10+ units we offer each unit at £39 (£5.99 off the MRP)

-for 25+ units we offer each unit at £37 (£7.99 off the MRP)

-for 40+ units we offer each unit at £34.99 (£10 off the MRP)

Prices included VAT and shipping

Basically I can let them know how many we are likely to order they will send a discount code and link to get them for the cheaper prices. Then everyone orders individually. There are a couple of extra conditions like this thread has to be made a sticky etc. but hopefuly a kind mod would do that if we go ahead.

Post below if you want one, lets see how popular it is.
