They lied about Perfect Dark Zero

gamespot totally over sold this game its nothing more than average and at times well below.

The fact it has to have a line coming out of your man telling you where to go shows they even knew the level design was off.

I was read it was bland and boring. I bought it the other day for £7 cheap 360 game score was my motive. So today I gave it a whirl and OMG the game is fantastic why the hell was it run down so badly I'm loving it. The Music in the game also is fantastic.
Well honestly...good for you. If your enjoying it then that's brill

Haeavnly Sword get a similer slating on the PS3 but i love it to bits. And if i enjoy it then who cares!

Yep. But PDZ was my personal favourite and it was the one game I got excited about at launch. The rest I was pleasantly surprised by :)

Its a real challenge on the harder difficulties.

I bought it for what worked out as £5 (it was in a 5 for £25 deal), but haven't got round to trying it yet.
Figure for £5 it can't be that bad though.

I enjoyed it and so did many others who I played it with on Sundays at 8PM. Made it a regular thing.

I'm seeing a lot of comments about how bad it is. But no one is explaining why. I have no problem if you don't like this game but I know a lot of comments come from people who "go with the crowd" as it were.

It's no PD64, but then no 007 game has ever been as good as Goldeneye.

OK, I'll bite ;)

Firstly, the level design is completely inconsistant. This happened because some of the levels were essentially levels ported over from earlier versions of the game (game went gamecube > xbox1 > 360 iirc). This was painfully obvious, as some areas had loads of detail geometry, and others were simply big, plain boxes with loads of stuff crammed in, trying to hide the fact.

The AI was also *awful* I saw them frequently do stupid things - it was certainly a step below anything *last* generation, let alone anything else availible.

The voice acting was inconsistant in quality and generally poorly written. On top of this, the 'story' barely held together (again because of the crazy long dev cycle).

Missions were simple in structure, 'stealth' sections were awful and tacked on. Framerate wasn't solid. God, I could go on, but I really don't want to waste any more time on it!

I bought the game for 7 quid as well!

Played the first level and it seems really good but thats because I'm a stargate fan I think! :D

The mission attacking the mansion was my favorite, I must have played co-op with Madfruit 30 odd times on Dark Agent before we actually completed it, that Hologram DM bit at the end was nigh on impossible!

Still not got round to actually completing it single player thought!

Got it at launch along with PGR3 and FIFA 06 Road to the world cup, i played FIFA more than PDZ, tried playing it a few days ago and ended up turning it off 15 mins later, duno why just couldnt get into the game. Ah well maybe in the future ill play it :D

If you want another one that kinda went off the radar and is absolutely ****ing amazing then check out the darkness. nokkon goes on about it a lot i think, i picked it up on his recommendation and its awesome!

NO SWEARING - Zefan.

Really? Can't remember the achievements off the top of my head but it was one of the typical "get 40,000 headshots in multiplayer" kind of game as far as achievements went.

I always seem to like games everyone else thought was bad

Absolutely loved Fifa RTWC when that was released
Adored Need for Speed MW
and PDZ was brilliant too

Strangely I've found Mass Effect, Oblivion and a few other "big titles" severly lacking

Exactly, PDZ sucked.
