student / education version of vista?

As far as I'm aware, there isn't such a version for Vista.

There is Its called MSDNAA http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-gb/academic/default.aspx

But your school / Uni has to sign up to do this..

You get all the OS. Server etc but you dont get office.

There's an Academic Upgrade version of Vista Home Premium, I've got that myself.

The version we have on msdnaa is vista busness x64 and x86 completly fr to all students and staff.

Yeah we have Vista Business x86 and x64 through MSDNAA plus a load of MS programming tools for me as I'm doing Computer Science. They don't provide office but they do supply Visio and Access. It's been really useful to have access to all this software for coursework and things. I'm sure they'll offer Vista SP1 integrated eventually but it takes some time for them to catch up.

There is the Vista Ultimate Student Select. It costs £80 for Higher Education users. It is an upgrade version.

As mentioned you can get it off the MSDNAA providing your uni/school is signed up. Got myself a copy of vista, but haven't had the time to download it and burn it onto a CD.
