Hi,

I am thinking of getting the Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 3850 Pro 512MB from OcUK.

Is this a good card for Blu Ray DVD's and Games etc.

I currently have a Geforce 8600 GTX card. Would this be a major improvement?

what is your budget?

if you could add 20 pounds more you can get 3870XT or 8800gt both of them would be faster than 3850 :)

3850 uses the same core as the 3870, in theory you could get similar speeds to it though they are speed binned

Ive owned both these cards and yes 3850 is far more capable then 8600gts. Which games do you want to play at what res

To play crysis yea, what else would need a card that powerfull unless you play games at 1080p as well. Considering he is upgrading from a 8600gts that is like mini to supercar :D
