For all you bods out there who know people out there who don't want to join us in the 21st Century and get an LCD TV because (in their words) "I don't Like Black/Silver TV's it won't go with my Wooden Furniture!"...

Well show them this: http://www.swedx.com/ and tell em they can't use that as an excuse anymore!!! :D...

Not bad Specs.. HD or Full-HD TV's upto 46" in REAL (Ash, Beech or Sapele) WOOD!!!... Not Plastic made to look like wood and failing badly!!...

Sim :)

in the rite surrounding this would look nice, maybe a bit more emphasis on design shape but it would be nice.... not the sort of thing i would go for though.

Looks like some thing out of a Flintstones movie :) .....no wait that would be a rock surround wouldn't it ?

The best TV with this sort of aim was the Philips tube ones with polished wood panels in them and soft leather. At least I think it was like that, I'll see if I can find a picture.

I used to sell TV's a few years ago & back then the only make of TV back then who made TV's were Phillips (Awful TV's reliability wise IMO)
There is a market for this type of TV believe me, especially for little old ladies...:D

Exactly!... one of my wife's friends still has a 28" (Non-Widescreen) Panasonic CRT TV which has a Plastic/Wood effect Body and she said "I don't like all this Modern stuff!!.. Black or Silver won't look rite with my other furniture!, I'll only get one of these new LCD things when they do a wood effect one like my current TV!"...

Then I saw the little 19" version in a Highstreet shop (Indian Food) which made me look on their website!.. I've now told her she can safely join the 21st century but still have her 'Old Lady' furniture!!!...

BTW she's only 37 years old!!.. :D:D

Why not just get it mounted on the wall, stick a mirror surround on the front, and pretend it is a mirror when not switched on :D

I suppose you could always get some thin wood sheet and cut it to surround the screen.
