I just picked my new car yesterday (03 clio dynamique) and I've been really excited all day as you can imagine, fitted in my HU, give it a clean and went for a spin.

A family member accidently reversed into it  :(

Rear corner light has broke and I have a couple of paintmark scratches from her car. Everything else seems fine, just typical :(

Could have been worse. Won't have a problem getting the light from a scrapyard or similar. However, any recommendations for the scratch mark? Will T-cut sort it? Any other recommendations?

Pics to follow in a few days, when the weather turns around!

that's awful :(

My friend at work bought a new (to her) car on Thursday and on Sunday a guy went straight through a red light because he was 'distracted by the kids' in the back of the car. She ended up in hospital over the holiday. She's ok but shaken and bruised and the car is a write off :(

just finished my shopping at tescos and the thankless turd driving an 03 plate Audi decided to use my rear bumper to judge how far he was into his parking space :mad:
luckilly for me my rear bumper was needing some repair anyway and he came off with a broken number plate :p

dunno if that T-Cut scratch repair is of any use to you m8 :?

throw a bit of G10 at it then a good polish ;)

if its actually scratched the paint find one of these chip and dent people who ill no doubt do it for 4-50 quid

Its all down to how deep the scratches go...

V.light one will t cut or be removed with a scratch remover.

If you can feel them with a fingernail...T cut will not work regardless if they go to the primer/base coat or not. But if you really dont want to body shop it you could wet sand it, if you are confident doing that kind of thing, but ideally would need machine polishing out after wet sanding.

Have a look see if you can find a wet sanding guide on the net and see if you feel confident in attempting it. Or car spa or similar place will do it for you.

Just quickly took a couple of pics. It's not dented at all, it's just the lighting. Can see the scuffs on side:

For a flawless repair that will almost certainly require new paint, but I think you can vastly improve the situation with the use of some abrasives like G3 or Autoglym paint renovator.

Women know your limits? ;)

Goto a local body shop and get a quote mate. Then pass that onto the person who drove into you.
