Took my clio round my mates today to have some nasty swirl marks and scuffs sorted out with his meguiars g220 polisher doo da, and very pleased with the results. Main thread here http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=64083 but here are a couple of pictures:

I'll also sneak in a present I gave the car last week too:

looks nice and clean now, nice job =]

and liking the brakes =D what size?

They're the same size as standard, 312mm just with the megane r26 drilled discs. Got some new redstuff pads on too and certainly stop me rather well!

Looking nice, not liking the ugly lump of grey plastic on its arse though.

I think it looks great, you obviously dont understand what it does :D ...function can lead to designs that are striking and individual. Most manufacturers dont have the bottle to put rear diffusers on cars, though they are a good thing they think the public wouldnt understand.. as you have proved.

Pure looks are not everything...

I think it looks good as well, but does it actually make a real-life difference? I'm quite synical when it comes to things like this :p

prolly not a lot until v high speed.. but i bet it makes some difference...

It gives more downforce to rear by slowing the air existing, decreasing air pressure under the car. It also angles the air up slightly to increase downforce also... i think there is a lot of physics stuff to it, but i had some guy in a F430 try and explain it to me once :)

Don't rear diffusers rely on the car being flat bottomed and low to the ground, and they have to be long with fins so the pressure is forced to reduce?

Edit: Ah I see, that type of diffuser is designed to reduce drag. Got it ;)

No V6, there's not likely to be one either :( Wonder if the Megane Sport engine may eventially make it into one.

It is reasonably flat underneath, not great though. To be honest I doubt it does anything at all but oh well it looks reasonably cool :p
