****The official GT5 Prologue Thread****

I would like to nominate the Ford GT as most awesomest car ever. Now i see why Jeremy Clarkson bought one despite saying it was near undrivable at speed in his review on Top Gear. It's a total git to get around a corner, but when you do it feels so utterly brilliant, much more fun than an easy to drive car.

there are a lot of retards online that spoil it tbh if they arnt ramming u off the road or trying they quit right at the end if they are the host and doing badly which means the winner recives zero money :( Quicker they sort it to allow invites the better.

PSN: mordusy

Yeah, some of them ruin the whole online aspect. Finally looked like I was going to win an online game when some idiot came up beside me and focused on putting me straight into the barrier, then quit.

i've got a question about autosaving, does it do it when you exit the game? or after each race?

i finally got 1st on the 2nd all manufactures challenge of the a class races, saw my 20 grand added to the pot, then a mate took over and continued to play - in-fact he just did that race again a few times cuz he wanted to get a 1st as well...

then i think the console was switched off the the button on the front of the ps, and the game wasn't exited... today i sat down and my 20 grand isn't there and its back at being a silver for that race :( - i've not ever touched the autosave feature and when i checked in settings its still on so why is my greatest accomplishment yet on the game not been recorded

gutted :(

its probably some bug if it didnt get saved...i remember it took me about 2 hours to get a gold on one of the A class races and i exited to the menu screen to make sure i see the saving to HD sign.
yet the next day it wasnt there.

Dunno, it saves for me perfectly fine after each race (as in when you exit to the main GT5:P Spec II menu where the car sits displayed).

hmm... in retrospect after actually paying attention to the saving system this time... i think maybe we did a few races and exited and didn't actually go back to the main screen where you get the saving dialogue...

well... every cloud has a silver lining and this one is that i got first again in my GT-R and managed to do a lap in 1:11:993 which i thought was bloody brilliant :D

people are finding the gt hard to handle, well would someone mind telling me how it compares (handling) with the NSX Type-R? I find I simply have to put ASM on or its just not getting round corners... i'm not shy of having the assistances off with most of the cars but the NSX i find to be a nightmare...

hows the gt compare?

Anyone else think the online play is a bit naff?

Not in terms of quality but the lack of a lobby to play/invite friends and the "stock car" racing" tactics that dominate when playing complete strangers?

All in all, awesome game though, much better with the Logitech Wheel I imagine ; I must dig it out and plug it in.....or buy the new one ;)

They dropped the ball with the online. This is 2008 and if your game doesn't have decent online modes, then its going to suffer in some way or another. Online just feels like playing SP with smarter AI. It doesn't have that feel of playing with others. A real let down.

6. One almost fatal only another car hit me from behind and sent me off in the right direction before I lost it. Finished 4th.

That's it right? Every flippin' game I've had online is like that.

And there's no qualification for starting grid position so it's just random.

Is the invite system definitely on the cards then?
