Logitech G25 Racing Wheel // Anyone got one?

I had a play with the new logitech GT5 wheel today at the show, i thought it was a great wheel, wish they had a g25 there so i could see how much better the G25 is. If the GT5 wheel is approx £100 then i dont think the extra £50 is worth it plus the little wheel to dial in settings could be good in endurance races with varying weather conditions.

Forgot to ask you this the other day, but does it make the wrrrr wrrrr noise when turning? The old GT Pro wheel ive seen videos on Utube that sound like that but the G25 is a lot better in this regards for sure.

Right, this is a very long shot but as I am French and I just bought a playseat from a member on this forum who has thrown away the component A of the gear holder,

I am now looking for someone who isn't using this at all as it is for putting the gearshift on the right as in a French car.

I would pay for it or at least pay the postage

so to sum up, if you have a playseat + the G25 gearshift holder and that you are not using the component A then you would make a French person happy

I just bought a G25 and a playseat from ebay. Took hours and hours of reading reviews and watching youtube videos of these two products to make my mind up. I think it was Mr.Latte's review/pics that made me part with a lot of money! I should get my gear sometime this week, can't wait to play GT5p & DiRT with this wheel and playseat.

Hi Robert, are you then getting the shift holder and if so I suppose you will have your gearshifter on the left, I am missing the component A as you wont need this (it is to put the gearshifton the right), would you consider selling it to me :( please

haha what? Why would I buy it then sell it? haha oh brother. :D ok, sorry for that. Can't you just buy one ? they are like £25. :)

No no, you got me wrong, you will see when you get the G25 holder that you can put the shift either on the right or left, and I would imagine that you will put it on the left,

there are two components, one for the left and one for the right. When I bought the playseat second hand, the guy throw the right one away, so that is why I m trying to buy it from someone who wont use it instead of buying the whole again you see

Oh my bad, really sorry for laughing. I thought you wanted me to sell you the the whole gear shift holder. Do you have msn? When I get my g25 and playseat (sometime this week) I'll contact you on msn and we can talk then.

My msn is [email protected]

Sound good? :)

Mr.Latte do you find the Playseat A1 GP Racing Seat comfortable? As in, Would you sit in it while playing other games, None racers I mean.

As I'm looking to get a new chair, Something for gaming, And I would happily pay out for one of those, If they are infact comfortable, Because I'm tempted to buy the racing wheel anyways. So that chair would could be perfect

I have a G25 and it is great.

I have been racing proper sims on the PC for years and it is definately the best wheel I have had. However:

If your sole purpose is to use it with a console then i would probably think about getting a cheaper wheel. DFP and momo wheels are both very good (ive had both of these too) you probably wont use the clutch pedal on console type games. I have experienced the problems with the pedals on both of those wheels but in all honestly that was after massive use. (sim racing is very time consuming)

I have never felt the need for a wheel on console games as they dont usually require the same degree of control as on a PC sim, the idea of pulling a steering wheel rig out in front of the TV and then having to store it out of the way when i'm not using it just seems a bit OTT for me. I can imagine if you were doing that every time you would get annoyed with it and stop using it!? Having said all that GT5P would be nice with a wheel as its tricky with a control pad with the aids turned off.

Dont even consider any of these wheels unless you have somwhere steady to mount it!!

could anyone tell me which wheels if any come with the lap adapter thing? i know it not in the same league as you boys with alminium frames and the like but it'd suit my needs...

if they dont come with the DFP for example (if any i would have thought this was the one to be included), then anyone know where to get one?

thanks :)

Just got one today. Amazing build quality, doesn't feel like a toy. I played GT5p with the wheel for an hour and did terrible. lol. Its alittle hard getting used to it when you're used to using a controller. Well worth the money. You'll need a good set up like a playseat to get the most out of it.

It does make a huge difference, i was useless at playing Rfactor when i got my G25 wheel, but over time you get used to it. I have got to the point where i can only play with the wheel now.

Still need to try it with GT5p.
