22"? For light gaming I would recommend the Samsung 223BW.
Yes it is a TN panel, and you may find a few complaints from users who say that they can't tilt the screen, so take note of what position or positions you're likely to view the monitor from.
But other than that I don't think there's a better 22" monitor on the market. The Samsung is the best looking and is great quality; it was specifically designed with gaming in mind. There is a slightly better model available (around £35 more), the 226BW, which offers a better response time, 2M compared to the 223BW of 5M, which will of course be better for gaming,, but you said 'light' gaming so you'll probably be fine with the 223BW.
Previously I was thinking of Dell 19'' 1908WFP because it has 1000:1 contrast ratio and design is super class.
As i said light gaming purpose because I play games only on Saturday and other 5 days are for office work. So, do you think i should prefer Samsung 22'' over Dell 19'' or even Dell 22'' ?
I have heard that all TN panels are of same quality so its of no use to spend more bucks on bigger TN screens. Do you agree with this opinion? So i was looking for lcd with better viewing angle.
And can i get better panel in 20'' or 22'' sizes?
dell 2007 widescreen one. (wfp i think)
Big enough for office use, big enough for games. Incredible viewing angles. Nice array of inputs and nice looking.
What more do you need?![]()
Remember that the Samsungs are both intended as gaming monitors, so you'll have to be able to justify spending the extra cash and whether you'll be getting the full use out of them. A Dell 19" will definately be fine for office use; it depends whether you want to spend the money on a top gaming monitor if you're only gaming one day a week.
Like I said above the 226BW offers a better response time (2ms) than the 223BW. This helps to prevent 'ghosting' on the screen (like a trail of images) so the 226bw will be perfect for gaming. But once again, decide how often you will be gaming and whether it's worth the extra cash.
If we compare picture quality and overall experience without gaming then which one is good? Samsung 22BW or Dell 1908wfp
Of course for gaming your opinion would be of 226bw.
btw why you didn't recommend 2253BW or 2232GW?
