Good review from IGN, looks very cool, i wonder if we will get a Demo of this?, they seem a bit sparse lately.

I hope so - this game looks good :)
It says on IGN it's out 28th March but it says on another site 4th April.

Anyone know the real release date?

It looks like a great game :)

Btw, if anyone says "I still think the original stealth/sci-fi idea was better" I will have to punch you in the balls. People have been saying this repeatedly ever since they revealed the new version!

I've had this on preorder for a while now too, really looking forward to it.
Though got this coming soon, Condemned 2 enroute from the States, so should be here any day, and I just picked up Jericho on the cheap, so plenty to keep me going until GTA IV comes out... and I'm half way through a replay of Uncharted at the moment too :D

Dark Sector does look like fun too, £29.99 I'm paying. Anybody found cheaper?

(Not competitor talk, as OCUK still don't sell PS3 stuff?)

This game looks awesome. Ive seen a few online retailers saying that its already out and will be dispatched within 24hrs...is this true, or is Friday still the due date?

I've just received an email telling me my preorder is shipping! :)

Im very intrigued by this game and will certainly be picking it up for a quick blast when I can get a hold of it. Got a feeling it might be out as early as Wed in the shops. Condemned on Friday too which should also be excellent.

It's all too much.

I got Jericho recently on the cheap, which is far better than I was expecting.
I've got Condemned 2 here beside me, which arrived last week.
I got GT5p last week.
Now Dark Sector is shipping... plus I got a PSP last week, and 7 games for that lol

The weather's getting nicer, yet I seem to be staying in ;)

Well, they are only games. If you don't buy it now (when you are not likely to give it the attention it may warrant) then you can always buy it later when you got little/nothing to play - and it will more than likely be a lot cheaper :)

I know what you mean, and I'm only jesting, I'm not going to stay in just for that.

I've got all the games here on my shelf already though, except Dark Sector which is shipping today, so too late to hold off.

I don't mind anyway, they will get the attention they deserve, I'm usually very good... I'll load them up for a quick look, then leave them until I've completed whatever I'm currently playing through, and then start the next :)

Well, that was pretty righ coming from me to be honest. I'm normally the first to buy things when there is no need.

Am learning to control myself though... I really, really want a whole lot of games that are out, or just coming out, but have so many to get through already.

Normally I am not very good at showing restraint, but think I have finally mastered it :D

I mean I might even actually manage to start saving some money soon!

Woohoo, Dark Sector has arrived ;)

I've put it on the pile with the rest, along with Condemned 2 et al.

I'll have to decide which to play first... though I think it may be Dark Sector :)

Well, I just had a quick look to see what it's like. (PS3)

First off, there was a small update to download.

Then it made a small installation to the HDD.
I didn't check the size, but it took less than 5 mins.

There's no denying the Gears of War inspiriation of the game.
I only did the first level, as I'm not going to get into it proper, until I've completed some other games I have here.

I really liked it.

The graphics were nice and smooth.
Physics objects bouncing about as you run through things.

Cover and fire system similar to Gears.

I'd say it's a bit slower paced, at least the first level was.

It was very grey, almost black and white, for the first level.
I let it run about 10 seconds into level 2 to see if there was more colour, and indeed there was. The first level was only a prologue level.

I'm really looking forward to playing this through. Seemed like good fun, handled well. Not much of a review I know, as I don't want to get too into it yet, not until I've completed Jericho at least... I may leave Condemned 2 now until after Dark Sector, but we'll see, I may take turns playing through both.

Been playing this for most of today and have to say its tries too hard to be like Darkness but fails miserably. The concept is pretty cool but i find the controls to be a bit clunky...what really sucks is that the only 2 permanent weapons you have are the pistol...absolute crap really and the ninja star thingy which imho doesnt do much damage. Sure you can pick up guns but they only last for 30 secs or less due to the fact that they detonate because your infected. Also you can upgrade your weapons but it means that you have to spend some time looking for the money in order to buy better weapons.

All in all its not a bad game, id give it a 7/10 tbh...not more than that...ive play it through then ditch it as its not a game i can see myself playing over and opver again.

GFX wise it looks lovely and is pretty smooth all round.
