Ah ok thanks, I have sigs turned off (so I can browse at work pretending I am on a developers forum :) )

I am reallllllllly tempted by the 10-20 but also want a zoom as I have just got a 400d with the kit lens. Am currently considering the tamron 55-200 and a 10-20 as a purchase

Is the 10-20 much much wider than the 18-55? Or do you think I would be better off investing in a decent zoom first (I belive the tamron is okay for the money but limited), getting a nifty fifty for low light stuff and saving for the 10-20 later?

the 10-20 is THE best lens i have, i love it to bits, i have more expensive lenses but the 10-20 is permanently on my 30D

the 10-20 is very wide, much wider than the 18-55

I totally agree!! The 10-20 is probably the best purchase I have ever made! The impact it makes on your photos is astounding.
