New MGS4 Footage: Assassins Solid!!

Ok someone help me out here.
I'm not a fan of the stealth type games, so I was never interested in the MGS series. But that footage looks like nothing I've ever seen in a stealth game. Whats the score here with MGS 4, is it a CoD4 style shooter? I'd be all over MGS 4 if they got rid of stealth elements.

MGS isn't a solid stealth game like Splinter Cell or Tenchu. There's a lot of action in it too, and some really epic fight sequences (elevator in MGS1 anybody?). So far it looks like there's more of an 'action' element in it that previous games though.

Metal Gear allows for both balls to the wall action and stealth gameplay - it's also the only game that actually does stealth enjoyably as well in my opinion. You'll have an easier time if you chose to go stealth, but you don't have to. Metal Gear series has some of the biggest and loudest guns around.
I think you'll love it. There are gameplay mechanics specifically made for players who just want an action-packed experience. That new gameplay footage shows some of the mechanics involved.

fyi, the game's finished, it's just bug-testing and stress testing.
And with the look of that, it was intentionally a game promo, they just applied the assassins creed skin and continued it.
The game colours seem pretty washed out, whats with the MOOOOO's? They're just bazaar, I could have come up with a better more terrifying sound than that lol.
Have to agree, I do like a game where you are properly emersed, like with all the other soldiers in battle. Kinda like COD4
