3D Mark Score Getting Lower?

Just a bit worried. My 3DMark score from 3DMark 06 has actually gone down since clocking my Q6600 to 3.4GHz from 3.1GHz?

Surely it should be higher as the RAM settings etc are all still the same? My score also seems quite low for my system (spec in sig).

Any ideas what could be causing this? :confused: :(

13850 looks about right for a C2Q 3.4 and single 8800ultra iirc

If your score has actually gone down, and you've not changed graphics drivers, then I'd assume your 3.4 overclock isn't stable.. how many hours have you managed to prime it for?

Was left running over night last night (8 hours), seems pretty solid. All drivers voltages etc are the same.

At 3.2 it scored just 13000! over 8500 less than 3.1 but then went back up steadily and at 3.4 its just under what it was at 3.1???

Well guess what I found the problem was......

Windows update! Lol

It was downloading updates in the background during my 3DMark run, no wonder my scores were lower!
