Dunn's River Nourishment Cans

It's got quite a high salt content, and too many E numbers for my liking, but as long as youre watching your diet properly it looks like a decent drink.

I used to have one or (when on offer) two a day when going to gym. I got a stupidly high metablism that keeps my body in check, to gain weight/muscle i have to intake a huge amount of protein..they work. I like the vanilla one, takes like rice pudding, though the strwaberry smells dodgy.

One thing i would note though is that when you goto the toilet,...it's unexpected lol. I'll start at gym again very soon (next week) and will start on these again, as to get the intake i need, you're looking at 6 meals a day..only possible with shakes.

Yes. In fact everyone who read the thread properly does ;)

Ah right, I see it now. 462. That's insane.

They have two layers of fur which is so warm that adult bears can easily overheat when they run. The polar bear's fur is really clear, not white. Some light reflects off the fur and makes it look white. Most of the sun's rays reach their black skin, which absorbs the heat and keeps the polar bear warm. The adult's fur looks darker than the cub's fur.

I'll look into it later but I would assume that they are pretty good for you if you regularly miss certain vitamins in your diet, but on a healthy balanced diet (sorry for the phrase) they won't make much of a difference.

Why not just take vitamin supplements rather than effectively give yourself an extra mealsworth of calories?

I need extra calories, perfect for me. I usually have just lunch at work and an afternoon meal each day, i need all i can get.

Good for a hangover too :)

Used to drink these all the time when I was a kid. They are literally the original meal in a can, been around for years!

Don't know if they were originally intended as a meal substitute for dieters or protein drinks for sportsmen but they ar eloaded with calories and sugar and I just used to drink them to get fat :D

I guess you can think of it as an all-in-one supplement or just a liquid meal. We give them out at the hospital (not this exact make) to people who need a bit of bulking up after surgery or when they're on the mend. They certainly won't make you ill or unwell in sensible quantities but they're a bit boring. If you're drinking them on top of your normal food and doing no real exercise then expect to put on weight!

But as I said, as long as you eat well for your daily activity then you shouldn't need them.

I love these. Used to drink them now and then when I was younger and spotted some in town the other day so bought 2 cans of vanilla. :)

Also like the strawberry one (although not as much) but have never tried the chocolate.

What kind of life do you have to lead to know what a lot of heroin addicts drink?
