has anyone got any ideas for this - not asking to share but i have been thinking hard for this and got one or 2 pics for this so far!

my first thought was mechanisms, but i think that is more likely covered in macro

I have an idea I want to try but not sure its the right time of year. I want to shoot a close up of leaf veins. It's a photo I've wanted to do for ages but always met with very lmited success due to lack of techical knowledge. We'll see how it pans out :)

i have had the above ideas and my suspicions are confirmed that my ideas are very similar to most.

However im trying to think of a scene to capture, thats not intricate in detail i.e. macros but im stumped on how i am going to pull it off

If it's intricate, do it! Who cares if it is macro :)

oh i don't care if i do enter a macro shot.. but i want to try other ideas first. I have a perfect idea for a shot, but it involves getting back into a site that i think is now locked down.. i might have to employ some ninja skills

I've been thinking about it, and the best I can think of is something like a macro of clothing, for the weave of the fabric. I have some other ideas, but have no access to what I'd need for them. :(

The dictionary definiton is

1. having many interrelated parts or facets; entangled or involved: an intricate maze.
2. complex; complicated; hard to understand, work, or make: an intricate machine.

So machines would be ok however you shoot them GeX.

This subject does give a lot of potential for shots this month plus a good test of our brain power so i will claim last place now, as think my brains hibernating still from winter lol

probably half way down 2nd page by now!

*edit* still on first page of threads!

Oh wow, i wish i had my camera now!! I have some really good ideas for this, ill get it a couple of days before the deadline, so i may just have enough time to sneak one in..

I was hoping that this would be a good one for macro photographers aswell as any other style. I will possibly be entering a macro shot, but i'm trying to think out of the box on this one. Look forward to the entries

nothing wrong with this theme anda kit lens! It doesnt have to be macro even though! all shots i have taken for this so far are Macro of sorts!

Running with my 'kit' lens of 55-200mm I've got some...meh photos, which are close, but not macro...the distance this lens needs from it's subject really hinders it's macro ability. :( But it gets a closer zoom than the 18-55 I also have (duh :p).

I'm looking for things with intricate patterns, so far I haven't found all that much.

is this any good to be classed as intricate?

*edit* Having just read the rules not sure i should put it here but might just submit it for now!
