so whos having a bet on the grand national?

I plan to flush a couple of hundred down the loo, its more likely to give me a return than my previous years of trying to pick a horse that might win or place. If I bet on every horse they would all fall at the first!

I find it more "interesting" to see how they can avoid being flooded/DoS/DDoS attempts to bring the betting system offline.

I'll have a go but haven't even looked at the form yet. I've got a free £5 bet on betfair and another on VCbet that I'll use but I think I'll save my real cash for the other races where form actually counts for something.

I have bet something past few years, usually win back atleast what i spent. Not sure if i can be bothered this year, seeing as the horse who i've bet most times and won me money is at 20 - 1 :(. Still got the sun sweepstake at work with a 16 - 1 horse :p

We went to Aintree yesterday on hospitality with £100 to spend and came out with just over £200 Lots of little bets on outsiders although if I'm honest, I just went on gut instinct. Apart from race one (which we won nothing on) we bet on 2 of the horses placed in the top 3 in each following race. One in particular, £2.50 each way on Stan (chosen due to OCUK's very own BigStan) came in 1st and won us just under £100 (99.60 or thereabouts). Nearly fell over, I had no idea he had such good odds. Bet £1.50 today and won £9 on 'Gone for Lunch'. Not sure on tomorrow, quite fancy Turko or King John Castle. Will also punt on a few outsiders, see if any come home.

Didn't count for much yesterday, not in most of the races anyway!

I understand how each way works, but how many places will this cover in the grand national, 1st -5th?

Usually 4, though some will offer 5th as selling point.

Nice one mate. A day at the races is always good fun...even more so if you're up when you leave.

Ive just set up an account and bet (i think) £10 on a football match at the weekend. How do quidco know that i have done this and therefore know to credit my quidco account?

You have to sign into Quidco, then go to the actual offer and click the link to Betfair as it uses a tracking cookie, so you are linking to Betfair from Quidco direct. You then complete your sign up and then place your bet, it then tracks. Quidco works the same for every offer, i have had over £200 cashback this month just from general purchases. I havent went on and started blagging casino stuff its all from Car insurance and nik naks for the house so its well worth it.

We cant work out whether it HAS to be a grand national bet, a lot of people think not yet the website seems to imply that the offer is for the grand national?

I just signed up as said and put £10 on a football match which is almost certain to win instead, as i dont have a clue about horses. Nothing showing in the quidco screen as yet :(

Doesnt matter what you bet on atall, i haven't bet on the National but mine has tracked. You did go direct through the Quidco link and do it like that? How long ago did you do it? You can query it if it doesnt track as Betfair are a Sure Shop merchant.
