Just ordered one, mainly because of GTAIV and the good games coming out this year, and i'm a bit bored of pc gaming atm, what are the best games to get?
Any genre will do, except FPS games, because FPS on consoles are pointless, don't mind third person shooters though
Ok lets see, third person shooters Army of two aint great but its quite fun especially in Co-op and all in all worth a go, Warhawk is a third person Battlefield type game but its multiplayer only, 4 player split screen or upto 32 player online/lan. Uncharted is a fantastic game definitely worth a purchase, again its third person but not a shooter as such more of a cross between tomb raider and gears of war.
Driving games, well GT5Prologue has just been released its £25 on PSN or RRP but can be had for £18 online, dont forget its PROLOGUE not the full game. F1GP is worth a go and can be bought quite cheaply online now if you like F1 games, Motorstorm again can be had pretty cheap and is good fun but only single player or online multiplayer, again Dirt is also good (PS3 being the best version according to codemasters). Burnout paradise is also good online and single player, but no splitscreen mp and quite different from normal Burnout games.
Beat em ups a bit limited at the moment VF5 is good but no online, Tekken 5 on the PSN is about £15 and features online multiplayer.
Few other games to note
Heavenly Sword, not everyones cup of tea shortish game about 6 hrs or so probably best to rent or pick up cheap
Folklore quirky action rpg, best use of sixaxis in any game so far
Ratchet and clank Excellent if a bit easy at times shooter platform game, looks and plays great well worth a purchase as theres plenty to do in the game.
Guitar Hero 3, Plastic guitar quality tunes time to rock out!
Singstar probably the best karaoke game ever now with DLC, both this and GH3 great for parties.
Apart from them theres a few great PSN games to play
Super Stardust HD, Excellent twin stick shooter theres a Demo to try on PSN
Pixel Junk Monsters, Kind of Desktop tower defence game which gets pretty hard towards the end
Pain, kind of like jackass some like it some dont, i like it, its a great time waster and can be fun Multiplayer.
