well the other day when checking fluid levels on the LCR noticed we were a bit down on coolant, so after a quick check of all pipework getting under the car(not easy on a lcr) it turns out that seat have bodged fitting the water pump when they had it in last year and skimped on sealant.

Cue todays escapades, replacement water pump timing belt and associated gubbins on the LCR

overall not a bad job but on monday morning i'm taking said water pump and invoice to seat and hitting the service manager with them, FFS not a happy bunny. plus side being that I now can sleep safe in the knowledge that all my beltage is shiney and new and got the forge Recirc fitted today too :) pics to follow tommorow daytime

well pics are out because its covered in a fine layer of snow :) looks like i'm relaquering my brembos next weekend

The service manager may just tell you yo jog on as you didnt get him to have a look at the leak before you 'tampered' with it yourself.

no i'm just going to hit him with it, useless muppets going down for a new splitter so will vent a bit whilst i'm there :) thankfully i check levels if it had been wifey i could have been looking at a new engine (potentially)

I'm sure they will be very accomodating with that attitude. Luckily they will tell you to get stuffed as they have no contract with you and there is no proof it wasn't done right now Barney Bodger has had a go at it :p

after a morning of driving ditch water octavias i'm off out for petrol fun ;)

i only jest about hitting the service manager with the water pump, i'll shove it up his ***** iinstead :)
