Moto GP 07 Issues

I gave in and got Moto GP 07 on PC, but there are some issues. Although it runs very well on full considering my specs, it stutters a lot, mainly during the beginning of a race when I have just loaded it up, if I restart the race later it will be ok from the start of the race to the end. Also, the tail end of each bike model has been cut off, so like small section or each of the tail ends is missing and it is just a flattened end, it looks really weird, I will get screenshots if helpful. I just can't understand, I have patched the game, and checked around but I'm having trouble finding THQ or Climax forums or help anywhere (without signing up on THQ for no reason), it is like this game doesn't exist on PC. If this is a problem with every game (the bike tails missing a bit) how could it have got through to the full game, I noticed it staright away when I played it, it literally looks like someone has got a chainsaw and cut half the tail bit off on some bikes. Anyone know about these problems, on Xbox 06 was a great game but it appears on PC it just doesn't want to run as well. Thanks.

Weird, its fine on mine, Have you tried removing your video drivers running driver cleaner and then reinstalling the latest drivers

Sounds like a missing texture or something similar causing slowdown perhaps? I think Dave has the right idea, back up your save games, uninstall MotoGP, uninstall gfx drivers, run driver cleaner, then reinstall the latest drivers, then try reinstalling MotoGP perhaps?

i reinstalled it yesterday and same, I tried it when it was patched and unpatched as well and it is still the same. I can live with the slowdown, as it ain't so bad after it's loaded up and in game for the first few corners then it gets smooth. It's just the bike's tails, it's not noticable when I'm on the Honda as that has a short tail anyway so none of it is cut off, and looking at other bikes while I'm racing I don't notice it, but when I am on other bikes, like the Yamaha or the Suzuki it is very noticable. It can't be something to do with the bike's models as it does it to every bike at a certain point on the model it cuts off the tail, it does it to both extreme and GP bikes, but it is only noticable on bikes with long tails like the Yamaha, and doesn't happen at all on the Honda as it has a very short tail, i will try graphics drivers now. Thanks.

It might be my 256mb card as i had it on large textures but then even on small textures it has slowdown :confused:

Hmm no idea then, sorry. But I can say I have a 256mb card and never had that problem on full settings. Might be worth putting the settings on low anyway just in case. Good luck with it.

I tried lowest settings and no luck. Still, the bike models is the main thing that annoys me.
