Well the gf mentioned she would like a game to play on as Im always on the PS3, and said she would like something with regard to building. It's her birthday on saturday :D

That's all she said, so I was thinking sim city, rollercoaster tycoon, or maybe even the sims. Any ideas which one to get, and what the latest version is, Im a little out of date.

Thought about giving her css so she can join me on occassions, but she wouldn't like that at all.

Viva Pinata

That is all

I'll second that, my GF bought this for my 360, for herself. Also, I'd recommend a DS- I got mine one last Christmas and ended up buying myself one. Numerous games you could get for her.

Or try and get Theme Hospital for the PC, mine loves that.

Haha, now Im interested in this pinata game :D

What sort of specs does it need, she only has a celeron laptop that is about 4 years old ? Theme hospital is a great choice too, and might get rollercoaster tycoon 2 aswell.

Nothing to do with building, but Peggle!

Pretty much anything from pop-cap.. my gf's always playing Zuma and Peggle..

same here, the above and book worm adv, text twist, luxor, loads of other 2d games. Not that she buys them. She plays the trials, when they expire and she gone through them all I just auto restore he laptop : P and she starts again.

Ooh, maybe not then, very bright and shiny graphics, would need a dedicated gfx card, played well enough on my rig.

System Requirements

* Microsoft® Windows® XP SP2/Vista®
* PC with 1.8 GHz equivalent or higher processor
* 1 GB of system RAM
* 10 GB available hard disk space
* NVIDIA 5900, ATI 9600 or above video card
* Sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio
* Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

does she like music? nothing to do with building, but a bit of racing...

audio surf is a lot of fun and not graphics intensive at all! awsome little game

As a first game, I think CS:S might scare her away pretty quickly, lol.

My gf just plays the online puzzle games on those free flash sites, but I'll get her into real games eventually :p

I'd recomment Sims/Rollercoaster tycoon, something that doesn't need lightning fast reflexes!

mine plays Eve - CSS - Call Duty 4 .

She's a keeper ;)

She has watched me play for a few years, and has jumped in a little herself. Pity she is soo bad :D

Cheers krooton, that game is definately far too taxing for her laptop. I constantly shout at the silly thing for not being able to run more than firefox and word (only 512mb ram). THis will only be a secondary present as the main one will be a surprise shopping trip for a new handbag (with a big budget :() then a meal out at a nice restaurant.

Hmmm rollercoaster tycoon 2, theme hospital, the sims will probably all be bought just for the hell of it :D

Il check out htat audio surf too.

(looks around at wife's pile of games)

Sims 2
Sim City 4
Sim City Societies (not very good)
Zoo Tycoon 2
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Gold
Civ City Rome
Caesar IV

Sims 2 is her favorite. Civ City Rome is also good fun.

The Sims and the pet and other stupid add ons.
Theme Hospital and Theme Park.
My girlfriend and her sister play these, not particularly demanding games (in terms of hardware and in gameplay) but Sims does run annoyingly slow on lowest settings on built in intel graphics, well, annoyingly slow for a PC gamer who knows what a decent framerate is, just don't ever say to girls 'I can make that run faster or, it's going a bit slow maybe you should get a better laptop/upgrade your PC' :D.

let her have a crack at lumines though i dont think its for pc is it ? i think i read somewhere it is but i dont know.

rollar coaster tycoon and theme hospital are good two. let her play doom too :)
