Celebrity Encounters!

I've met loads of celebs, went to the same primary school as a few famous people's sons and daughters. Don't see what the fuss is about really!

some more i can remember now

Bobby Charlton - was invited to his soccer school

Alex Ferguson, Mike Phelan, Mark Hughes and Andrei Kanchelskis - all watched my football team from the sidelines

half the old Saints team - from presentations ( Cockerill, Case, Banger, Le Tissier (actually sat next to the fat basket in a restaurant)

I've met..

Sir Bobby Robson in the loo's at the Estadio Luz during Euro 2004,
Ian and Camilla from Strictly, who presented me with an award,
Paul Gasgoine at my local pub.

Class photo?

There's a distinct lack of proof in this thread...

We didn't have class photos, Westgate School in Winchester (Secondary). We didn't even have year books. Happened to sit on the table next to her, although I was a bit of a nerd/prefect/hard-working student back then and she was with the populars :)

she have massive norks back then?

Yep, she's always had huge boobs. I haven't seen a picture of her lately to be fair, but I can probably confirm that they are real :p

Was she still very loud then?

Pretty quiet actually, or I always thought so. Probably more at ease with her friends though..

EDIT - actually I probably do have a school photo somewhere of the entire year, but it may still be at my parents house.

Met Arthur C Clarke about 22 years ago, he was shadowed by his 'entourage' of 5-6 mostly Americans, spent a good 3-4 hours talking to us (only about 8 employees at the time).

I was shocked to see even back then how old and frail he really was, he signed 1/2 dozen of paperbacks, which ended up in the bottom of a draw, probably still there...

Crazy thing was, one of my co-workers went over to Fred's (brother) to fit some sort of modem phone connected to a computer so he could speak to Arthur over in Sri Lanka. (Forerunner to Skype no doubt) :p:p

I met Tim Pigott-Smith in my shop, and saw Bradley from S-club 7 driving a black mercedes in London at 5 in the morning. I wasn't the one who identified him however.

A few years ago when I was working in a cookware shop Anne Robinson came in. I kept thinking "Who is that?!", I finally worked it out when she started speaking. She was quite chatty, totally different from any time I've seen her on TV.

hmm

Prince Andrew (met him when I was a kid)
Been in the BBC Canteen with S Club 7:)
Met Howard Blake (the guy who wrote the music for The Snowman)
Done a gig with Honour Blackman Comparing

Can't really think of anyone else people would know although I have met quite a few famous jazz/classical musicians.

ooo ooo I saw Bradley from Eastenders out with his mates in the same bar as me in Blackheath.

Used to see George Best quite often.

Saw John Terry at the local Cinema a couple of times too.

Cant really think who else apart from random footballers really!

One drunken night in about 2003 we decided to go for a curry instead of going clubbing. In the curry house was Sylvester McCoy of Dr Who fame! Me and my mate were joking on pretending to our other mates we thought it was Sylvester Stallone. We were saying "Eh but he was much bigger in Rambo?" and "He looks different in the flesh".

Later he walked past our table to go to the toilet. When he came back I said to him "I'd just like to say I loved you in Rocky, could you just do the classic line.....Adrian for us?"

So sure enough he played along with the joke and shouted "Aaaaaadriaan" in the middle of this curry house. Top bloke.....

Jamie Redknapp and err his wife.. forgotten his name in a restaurant near where I live

And i've been into Paul Mcartneys brothers house, met his brother - and indeed been in my dads car with his brother.. yes, indeed that was odd. Funny seeing some old photos of them when they were small in his house.

I propbably have the least impressive celeb encounter EVER...Met Blazin' Squad at the Malmaison hotel in Newcastle a few year ago and got chatted up by one of them in their fake ghetto accent.

Met quite a lot of celebs, most recently spoke to Rachel Stevens last week for quite a bit and Tony Parker last summer.

I met Wurzal Gummidge (Jon Pertwee) and Cheggers Chegwin years ago at the Town and Country festival in coventry.

I saw Max from Hollyoaks last year though. I was standing in Euston Station waiting for a train back to coventry and he came and stood next to me. I was too shocked to say anything! :o

I'd love to meet Max from Hollyoaks. People claim I look like him, but I don't.
