Celebrity Encounters!

IMG_1754.JPG

The legend himself :D

That chick in the red on the right is hot.

Which one's the celeb? No clue who both are!

LOL...

I'm guessing Furton is the one on the left and it's Dr Karl Kennedy (from neighbours) on the right.

The only celebs i have met are Ron Jeremy and Sky (sp) from neighbours.

Oh and i walked past Caroline Quentin whilst she was on the phone and walked past the woman who plays one of the really aggressive inmates in that ITV program which used to be on about the womans prison.

EDIT: ohhh and my old chemistry teacher was in the band "Snuff" and he used to know people like NOFX and Less than Jake - but i guess they don't count.

Have seen John Major in Real life when he was Prime Minister also William Hage visited my school in 1999 when i was in school.
I have also seen George Clooney in real life.

saw Eddie the Eagle in London many many moons ago

In the nineties, the star wars movies were rereleased on video and I got a ticket to the official launch evening - Carrie Fisher (she's still hot), Billy Dee Williams and Warwick Davis were all there along with a full size x-wing fighter hanging from the ceiling (it was a replica by the way :D). George Lucas was meant to be there but he didnt make it, but was on a live link on a big screen. (they had a free bar too!)

I haven't really met anyone famous except for when I've been interviewing them. The most high profile is definitely William Hague, though I've done countless bands for PT (Fall Out Boy, Rise Against, P!ATD, Against Me!, etc.).

Used to work in a 5 star hotel in Surrey, had Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt stay there for a night back in 98 or 99, Jennifer was a moody rude nasty person, Brad was the nicest guy you could hope to meet, had drinks with 10-15 of us for 4+ hours after work, was really good night.

Met Tony Hart from Hartbeat as well back then, christ he looked so old and withered and had people shuffling him around from place to place :P

Thought of another one, im gonna meet Ellen MacArthur in 3 weeks time.

She used to go to our school (before I was there) so during one of her big races years ago the whole school went Ellen MacArthur crazy, they forced us to do TV interviews, do loads of research on her etc. To quote Justin Lee Collins, "bad times" :D.

I think the only famous person I've met is Marco Gabbiadini, because he used to live next to a friend of mine from school when he played for Derby. The only other 'celebrity' I recall seeing would be the Queen.. but who hasn't.

I've stopped in a layby in Perthshire whilst out for a bike run with a few mates and had a fag with Ewan McGregor who was also out for a run on his Ducati at the time. :)

Had the pleasure of meeting Niall McKenzie in a pub in Callendar a while ago. He was there as a guest speaker at the Callendar Motorcycle Club's request at an annual meeting. Great guy, really down to earth.

Met Joanna Lumley in the departure lounge at Prestwick Airport a few years back, we were flying down to London.

She was very friendly, signing autographs etc. It was her birthday and the Captain of the plane announced it over the tannoy whilst we were in flight, then the cabin crew appeared with a cake for her ( gawd knows where they got that from ).

About ten years ago when I was at my previous fire station in Stirling, our grass area was used as a helipad for incoming aircraft.

The Queens Flight Sqn using Wessex helicopters used to come in there every so often, so we got to meet her and Charlie a few times.

Whenever there was a flight inbound, we had to have a fire appliance on standby with a few lengths of hose and a foam branch on the end of it for safety reasons.

One day the Wessex carrying Charlie came in and landed and another thing we always had to do was the duty watch lined up in best bib and tucker at the rear of the fire station and came to attention as the Royal convoy left the station yard.

We were all lined up and our Sub Officer said "pass along the line, when Charlie goes by in the car, I will say 1....2.....3......then everyone wave at him".

This was intended for the guy at the end of the line ( I wont name names!!! ) who was a bit gullible. He took it onboard and we waited for the convoy to leave.

As it approached and went past, our Sub said "1....2.....3......" and matey boy at the end of the line waved with all his might!!!.

HRH Prince Charles waved right back at him!!!! :D

This didn't happen to me, but it is pretty great...

A guy was walking through an airport, on his way to catch a plane, and coming the other way he's sure he can see... Henry Winkler. He's getting closer and he's looking at him thinking "That's Henry Winkler". Henry Winkler realises he's being recognised, and as he walks past...

He puts up his thumbs and says "Heeeeeyyy!"
