Spastic is actually a medical term, albeit not for his condition I believe but I just wanted to point out that use of this word is not simply an insult.

Yep watched that program, he was one of the few savants who could communicate properly, and let people really understand how their brain works.

Really shows you what humans are capable of.
 
Amazing stuff, remember seeing a programme on this guy when he was a lot younger, again drawing things like churches after only have a short look at them.

Pretty clever stuff our brains, shame we can't unlock them fully with out the downsides you see with being Autisitc etc.
 
Autism- do you people believe that with time and scientific progress we can enhance our brains and thinking to the extent of these amazing people? personally i think its in a state of balance, whereas most of us arent as gifted, our bodily functions and minds work correct, but in most cases of autism, social skills etc are effected and i dont think this can be changed.....

Seeing as we evolved from monkeys throwing our poo at each other I suppose anything could happen.

I wonder how much of it is instinctive talent, and how much a conscious effort to remember details.
 
Is this only so amazing to every-one becourse he has a named disability? Dont think for one minute becourse some-one is autistic they are less intelligant than us, he obvious has a talent not many of us do!

Exactly what I was thinking. Imagine our future when we have evolved to the level where the average person can do this, and has the ability of the math genius savants.
