Want to go diving for a week and do my padi open water and advanced.

i'd like the package to be all inc of flights, accommodation, and diving.

i'd like to pay around £300 and go to europe or north africa.

i'd like to go in july.

You won't get amazing diving with that budget, but still some good European breaks..

Lanzarote does cheap diving holidays, all inclusive

thanks mate.

the mrs and i are going to egypt for 2 weeks in May for £460 each, thats flights and accommodation - no diving included

the flights are like £250 each so that doesnt leave you much for accommodation or diving, dont think egypt is in your price range 2bh.

Padi + advanced in 1 week? AND fun dives as well? £300 will be the cost of the courses & kit hire alone.... Would you like the moon on a stick with that?

Try Israel too (Went there last month and no trouble in Tel Aviv/ Eliat)- don't know if Eliat will be cheaper than Egypt, but worth a look.

padi + advanced can easily be done in one week

though i agree you'll be needing a bigger budget

Wherever you go, I would try and get all the course reading and material done before you fly out on your holiday. I am a PADI resuce diver and I know that when I took the open water and advanced it required a lot of reading and required a lot of knowledge reviews to be completed to pass. If you have the theory sorted then you will enjoy the diving more and focus on the skills.
I first learnt in Hurgada in Egypt and my holiday was 9am starts till 5pm then reading and coursework most evenings. Not much of a holiday all work but I loved it.

Love to dive, enjoy the ride

im off to eypgt next week for one week diving ... yay.

you need to up your budget slightly to get a good week away and i dont think you can beat eypgt for price/good diving.

you can easily do open water/advanced in one week

and if you can do your theory before you go , you should as it will save you two days when you are there.

edit: your diving alone will be £ 300..

It's all about Sharm El Sheikh for diving at the moment. Never going to go, but for personal reasons rather than sensible ones :P

I dive for about £300 for 2 weeks... but that's cause i stay with my older sister in Dubai :D

Im sure it will cost ALL your budget just to get qualified, let
alone travel and accomadation.

Why not do what you can in this country and save up for a while
then go on your hols diving.

I can reccommend the Maldives - but not in that budget im afraid.

UPDATE

Strangely enough, after doing my own research i've followed already some of your suggestions.

Going to do Open Water in the UK. £300
Do all theory and dives.
Make sure I do it in a dry suit. Apparently training in the UK is good, and its good to have experience diving in cold conditions (my previous dives were in Thailand and Australia)

Go abroad - probably Egypt - Sharm. £400 one week.

As has been said, you'll struggle to get even the training in this price range,

I'm doing the 'Referral' part of the Open Water qualification at the moment (just confined dives and the knowledge review sections), and that is costing me £200 (with a discount for being part of a specific gym apparently),

And then when I go to Madeira in June I intend to do the 4 dives to finish the open water + advanced open water + some fun dives, but thats likely to cost me ~£4-500 (paying for 10 dives with full equipment hire alongside the courses), that price doesn't include the flights/hotel/anything other than just diving...

EDIT: Ignore me, was typing whilst you replied :p
