Looks like they found her

She's been very tight-lipped ever since she was found.

Once it's worked out why she's been like that, the circumstances will be very much clearer.

British police > Portuguese police.

I do have to admit this case has really made me thought about the McCann one. Those two were clever, intelligent parents - doctors and such weren't they? I keep thinking that maybe it really is possible that they killed Madeleine and reaped the benefits of it with success due in no small part to the inadequecies of the Portugese police. They started a carefully orchestered fundraising campaign for money very shortly after the disappearance. Mortgage has already been paid off just from donations...

They'd both need to be very screwed up in the head to kill their daughter to pay off the mortgage.

True, and I still don't believe they did. Maybe something along the lines of that guy who 'disappeared' for five years as an insurance scam would be more likely.

Some of the news reports are on dodgier ground than the Neighbours set - the Shannon-McCann 'link' for example - two unknown randoms contact the McCanns requesting money to help fine Shannon. So what? Nothing I've seen suggests this had anything at all to do with the family. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't - your guess is as good as mine.

However, should all this stuff turn out to be true and with obvious links back to the family then it certainly proves one thing - even now people are prepared to exploit and put their own children in danger for nothing but money. That sounds like something lifted straight out of Oliver Twist. :/

I think she was a mistreated, bored child, that cried too much when they ABANDONED her. So they drugged her... went back to top her up and realised they'd OD'd her and she'd died. Then covered it up.

Meaning they are Doctors, therefore they would drug their child rather than hire a minder for the night?

Some legal issues brewing I think, from the Mirrors forum...

Please do not discuss any issues re: Shannon Matthews.
If you do your post.thread will be removed.

And then created a media circus so that their every move was filmed making it so much harder to dispose of the body. Yeah, really bright move that one.

:D

An awkward problem for the conspiracy theorists is that the last person to see Madeleine alive was the family friend who checked on her and the twins during their infamous dinner at the tappas bar.

Which means that suspicion should really be on the family friend, rather than the McCanns themselves. But of course, that's too logical...

The awkward problem with most conspiracy theories is that when common sense is applied to them they normally don't add up at all. Sadly people normally decide what they want to believe and then try and fit any evidence to that rather than the other way around.

Sadly, in the McCann case, if you apply logic and statistics from child homicide, either the parents or one of their friends are absolutely the most likely people to have killed her (if she is indeed dead). The number of children killed by complete strangers is tiny in comparison to those hurt by parents, step parents and other relatives/friends...

You do realize this could become the story of the millennium, if the pictures on the step dads pc, are of maddie, and her dad

Fortunately we don't convict people on what's statistically the most likely.
