which co-op fps for ps3?

hey up

i absolutely love COD4 and i'm sure it wont be tipped from the top for quite a while (although bad company looks promising), however i would like to get hold of a game that is brilliant for split screen co-op...

as far as i can see i can choose from army of 2 and resistance... could i have recommendations? the only truly multiplayer games i own are pixeljunk monsters and tekken so want a really good both-on-the-screen-at-the-same-time kinda game and fps co-ops rock

Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 has Splitscreen and online co-op for the story and for terrorist hunting, and is very good if only an upgrade of the first one. I know its third person (as is army of two) but kane and lynch is quite fun co-op story even if the game has its own little problems.

Have to agree with the above, vegas 2 is canny for co-op like although I don't know why devs are so adament on splitting the screen in the middle like

Its split vertically rather than horizontally so your viewing angle is terrible.

Halo splits horizontally but you lose the sides of the screen too. its tough on widescreen

4:3 screens split horizontally look fine though

IMO gears of war split horizontally looked fine, VEGAS 2 vertically was meh but got used to it however I hated halo3 the most (4 way was fine tho)!

I think so, its almost 4:5 that way, and most PC gamers play FPS on 5:4

Army of Two is a class co-op game, but got panned a bit cos everyone bashed single player... if you plan to play it co op all the way through then its great fun

Me and my mate have almost finished Resistance co-op and are really enjoying it. Not quite as good as Halo but still good fun.
