I like it how they announced their liquidation on flights over to Hong Kong...can just imagine it now "Ladies and gentlemen, we are sad to announce that Oasis Airlines are going into liquidation and therefore you will not have a flight going back to the UK. We do advise however that you choose our sister company Chinese Government Inc and see the local sites such as Tibet whilst you are stuck here".

Lots of airlines in the doo-doo. Aloha went down the other day too.

Reckon at least another ten will go before the end of the year.

Alitalia will be next, but that's nothing to do with fuel prices.

Will the OP get his money back through ABTA or some other insurance thing?

:(

A little piece of my childhood will die when Alitalia finally go.

When my dad took me to the airport as a little lad to see the planes I loved the green Alitalia livery more than any of the others.

how so through credit card company? ive never been in this situation before so no clue how its going to work, IF they even refund the money

Phone your credit card company? They should be able to tell you what to do.

I guess its not a coincidence i see them parked on the ramp all the time at Gatwick then!

£65 to go to Hong Kong? That's peanuts. No wonder they went into liquidation. Must have made a substancial loss overall or very little profit. I'm unsure about the costs of fuel, maintenance, wages etc. etc.
