Bannatyne's Gym

I'm lucky in that our local (council) gym is fairly reasonably stocked with a good sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Some of the staff, one in particular, are good too. And it would only cost me £13.50 a month to be a member as I work for the council under discounted Flexible Fitness. Cancelled it though - weddings are expensive!

Its expensive but i cant knock them really, the instructors at mine in worksop are always very freindly and helpful, good equipment and its never that busy when i go, but i know it does get quite busy in there during peak periods which would drive me mad.

Has it got quieter in there since the new leisure centre gyms have opened?

I think that is very reasonable for a joint membership. The 12 month contract is a pain, do any gyms do monthly memberships?

I wouldn't put any more money in that greasy sweaty's pocket (no offence) if i could possibly avoid it.

I like Duncan. Just re-reading his autobiography and it's awesome.

I tried to end my membership as I'm off to TA training soon. They told me I have to give them 3 months notice! And write a letter to them stating why I'm ending my membership. What a load of bs.

Anyone watch Dragon's Den? The owner of this gym is on there. I can't stand those type of people, always trying to get your last penny from you.

Stop your direct debit. ASAP.

will he not then get a black mark on his credit score? If its in the contract that you have to give 3 months written notice there isnt much you can do and stopping the DD so they sell the debt to a collection agency is a bad idea
