so they still get prison they just throw a huff about therapy, and so don't get any time off for good behavior, and it looks bad on their parole hearing so they inevitably will stay in longer?

And I imagine that someone did say these things. However I don't think they were considered seriously by any decision makers. It would, to start with, be political suicide. It's an artical with a base in irrelivant fact - if you prefer.
For them to come out an re-offend because they've had no form of rehabilitation?

White, black, chinese, muslim, christian, atheist, they all re offend with and without rehabilitation.

their sentences are usually far longer than the newspapers report as they just give the smallest figure they can (half time good behavior + earliest parole hearing) they'll be in for a long time and still forced to attend the meetings, and probably repeatedly denied parole, and have a much stricter watch outside of prison wo will find it harder to reoffend.
You do realize that any prisoner could be in a huff about the rehab program, and you wouldn't make a thread about it, one is just trying to get off with an excuse like every other does.

It's a contradiction that the religion is so harsh on homosexuality yet condone some types of child abuse...
To be fair, they only get out of the treatment programmes. Since I'm not convinced that these treatment programmes actually work in the slightest then I don't see as it makes much difference.
Wasn't it in the papers a while ago that one of these treatment programmes was to get a paedo to look at as much porn as he likes in the hope that he'll get turned on by fully grown women?

You're missing the point. No-one has suggest that only Muslims are child abusers, only that the Islamic faith deems fit to condone some forms of child abuse that is generally illegal and immoral in the West.
It is also worth note that Mohammed had a VERY young bride, perhaps as young as 9 to whom he was betrothed when she was even younger
