sorry for bad quality pics.. done with phone... my camera broken

Quite a few threads on the Antec 900.. Still amazes me on how cramped these cases are...

I loved my Antec 900, was terrible to fit a Galaxy psu in tho. If they'd just made it an inch and half wider behind the mobo tray so there was somewhere proper to route the cables, it would have been one of the best cases around, in my opinion.

what i was going to say ... as it seems like it is a big case from the outside. the lack of room makes me choose the eclipse over the antec 900 in my opinion even if it has loads of fans...no good if airflow is blocked by cables

You could probably get an Antec 900 inside an Akasa Eclipse 62...:D

@ OP... is that a router blocking your exhaust fan. thats hardly helping lol.

eitherway i used to really like the antec. when it was released if anyone remembers, they were all the rage...i mean everyone choosing a new case mentioned antec 900. If i had to choose between a akasa eclipse and the antec (price factor included) i would go for the eclipse as it has so much more potential. its like you can personalize it, eh bfg ?

Since I got my crossfire setup I've been considering moving back to my old Antec 900...airflow was really amazing with that case....also i miss having a side window :/

Just need to purchase a new fan because i accidentally broke the blades off the big 200mm one. :( 15 or so quid for that one

:D If you want a small cramped case that collects dust like a dyson the Antec 900 will not dissapoint... Many owners in these forums have confirmed this...

Loads of room inside, No problems with air flow here :D

Just look at those messy wires on my DVDRW drives :D

wow did u cut extra holes in it? because im sure mine didnt have those lowest and highest ones... just the middle 2.... and how did you get the 8pin mobo cable up there :O

theres my case, bit cramped :P i kept the HDD extra fan holder in and wedged some cables behind it :p hehe not tooooo bad a job i think :D and the little white twist tie is a small self mod to the give the TRUE a little bit of extra support :)

and as for the dyson remark...... spot on :P just cleaned it out today after about 3 weeks since the last one, its really surprising! as soon as my loan comes in im buying 3 filters! 2 for the front and one just to put on the side panel cos im sure airs just getting sucked in from there too :P

well i dont have any problems with my temperature so it doesn't change much if my router is on the fan :D

I've had no experience with either case, but it doesn't seem the Eclipse is after the same airflow crown as the 900? Surely once you've even partially tucked away your cables the sheer amount of fans in the 900 overwhelmes the Eclipse in airflow?

No-one would happen to have the same componentry in both to do a temperature test would they?

Allthough a test would be cool it would be near impossible to create a control as there are just too many factors other than hardware that have a bearing on all of the case temperatures.
Also I'm going to go out on a limb and say that a lot of airflow in the 900 is unnecessary.

I cut one big circular hole in the bottom of the case and flipped my psu so the fan is on the bottom , this gives the extra cable length needed for the 8 pin connector to fit behind the mobo tray , also cut three more holes in the mobo tray , 1 for the 8 pin connector up at the top , 1 for the psu wires to go through to the back of the mobo tray and the last one up near the dvdrw drives.

also flipped the hard drives round the other way , had to use right angled sata cables and replace my power connectors with flush mounting ones so the wires dont catch on the fan!

As for the dust , try cleaning your room with a dyson :D, that way all the dust wont end up inside your case :p

Had my 900 and new system for about 4 weeks now, and its a great case to work with if you can figger out where to put all the cables, and I guessing when I come to do upgrades it will be a pleasure todo, heres 2 pics, 1 without the board in and the other is with everthing installed and switched on.

Lovely tidy install there mmorpheus! Nice one!

Incidentally, what Silverstone PSU is that? Been looking at some as i've seen they've been well reviewed. How quiet would you say it is for a PSU?

gt

Its a silverstone strider ST60F 600W Modular PSU , now its the other way round its nice and quiet , wouldn't go as far as to say silent as you can hear the fan.:D

My other computer has a 450w bog standard PSU in it and that can be heard over everything in this rig , even when i stripped it down and cleaned it all out!
