Why are all 'trendy' clothes gay?

DampCat... what on earth is greebo? When I went back to chelmsford for the week I met up with some old friends of mine, they seemed ****ed off that I was 'greebo' (at the time).

How the jeans look, I would have guessed.

Although im guessing its this;

Read the page. If you have and you still linked there you deserve the holiday. Gilly.

Never heard it in my life before!

UD sounds spot on!

"A greebo is a person who listens to rock/punk/metal music and doesn't follow fashion trends.
They don't usually class themselves as being a greebo but are assigned that title by trendies/rudes. Some of them may look quite threatening but generally they are all around nice people and they resist starting fights or arguments with people who do follow trends. However, if you were to ask one if they had anything against trendies or rude boys their answer would seldom be 'no'. Almost all Greebos have some kind of disliking towards trendies mainly because they make their lives hell. Abuse is hurled at them when they walk down the street and they frequently get the crap beaten out of them for absolutely no reason other than the fact that they are different.
Greebos also seem to be fairly itelligent people if not it one way, they are bound to be intelligent in another, this may contribute to why greebos rarely start fights with trendies and rudes, because they are intelligent enough to know that it wont solve anything.
Greebos are alternative people who just want to be treated fairly.

Listen to punk/rock...check. Resist starting fights...check. Dislike of chavs...check. Had abuse hurled and attacked several times... check. Intelligent... check!

Hmmm... i do all of the above but wouldn't consider myself a Greebo. Plus im pretty sure the word has been out of use since circa 98.

Cheap jeans are fine if that is what you want, but there is very, very noticeable quality difference.
I would also say that you can tell when a pair of jeans are cheap simply by their colour. Colours tend to be somewhat unsophisticated on jeans at such a price mark.

I buy £30-40 jeans. They all look good, last for 2+ years, are comfortable and I don't see everyone wearing them? I guess I'm lucky then.

...which is just as well really, as it means I don't have to pay extra for a 'sophisticated' look :)

I did by a pair of slightly pretentious TH jeans last month but that was only because they were priced well in America. I haven't worn them yet! I can normally be seen in some old Levis and Tesco jeans.

I normally wear unblemished, smart jeans and collared shirts most of the time.. and my girl mates tell me things like "You'd make a good gay - you dress really nicely" What the...

So I started wearing more worn looking Jeans and casual stripey tops instead to "man up" a bit. :(

Ive started to hate wearing jeans now. Only like them if they are baggy nowa days. Mainly wear baggy cargo type pant instead now.

Agreed. Either I'm incredibly well endowed, or cheap jeans give me a bulging crotch when more expensive jeans don't!

[edit]Not that I think my man meat's particularly small - just over-empthasised somewhat in certain clothing![/edit]

I wouldn't spend more than £25 on a pair of jeans and even at that I usually get 2 pairs out of D2. I also have a lot of cheap jeans from Primark, Matalan etc and they are all perfectly fine. Have the odd pair of Levis, Wrangler and a pair of Duck and Cover which I know were fairly expensive that have been bought to me but I don't see any difference in quality between any of them. The only real difference is the small label on the waist band and most of the time that's covered by a belt and a t-shirt or jumper so no one knows what they are

I have also noticed the leg length getting longer which can be very annoying.

For me there is absolutly no point in buying expensive jeans because no matter how much I spend none of them can withstand the wear from my big manly thighs which eat through the buggers in under a year :(

buying g-stars mainly, they are getting really popular over here in the last 12 months, dont buy them for the brand, i buy all my clothes for the cut and how they fit, and particular detailing that make them stand out from the norm, thats what you pay for more than the name.
cheap jeans look crap, have no shape and make you look like you dont care of your appearance, occasionally you may fluke a well fitting pair, put generally they are crap, and bland
lol at the comment about g-stars being worn by gangsta wannabees, most g-stars are designed to be worn with actual proper shoes, and are rather slim fitting, not exactly gangster clothing.
diesels are usually good, but they havent put a pair out that i fancy for a year or two now.
forget 501's levis have loads of decent jeans nowadays, get into a levis store, they do have some good stuff

normally pay £25-35 for a semi decent pair, I tend to wreck jeans so no point paying top dollar

the feel of the material and the cut/fit of the jeans is noticeably better than £10 jeans
