Hello i've just setup system below with all the lastest drivers but for some strange reason the system locks up when i try to burn video files have tried two diffrent burners from Asus and Samsung but system still locks up, have also tried different memory from OCZ Platinum which works ok in my other PC also different cables, setting master and slave on drives and the two ide channels plus checked DMA mode which is ultra DMA mode 4

Software i've tried for burning
Nero lastest version
Clone DVD
Ashampoo

have done a stress test on PC where i converted some video files which took about 4 hours per file to test system for heat and memory problems which worked ok so for the life of me can't work out what the problem is

Windows XP
Antec NSK2480
Asrock P4VM900-SATA2
P4 2.6
Hitachi sata hard drive
OCZ 1GB 3200
ASUS 1814BL
Sapphire HD 3650
Netgear 108 Mbps wireless PCI adapter WG 311T

Hello there ;)

I have been burning films off for years, tryed nero etc but found the daddy of them all is imgburn, heres the link http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download, realy easy to use, after you have got your dvd files or dixv videos just select build from start menu, point it to the folder then it will convert it to a image file.

Just select burn then select the image and it will burn it off, burn off at 4 or 6 times speed and it will work like a dream, you wont go back to anything else

Hope this helps :p

Another vote for Imgburn. Couldn't recommend it enough.

I'd also suggest checking your codecs, make sure you don't have any that are corrupt/not installed properly.

tried a few others today from Imgburn to CDBurnerXP but it still won't burn dvd files but for some strange reason i can burn audio cd's ok
