Teamwork games

Howdy :)

At a Lan party a short while ago, we had a ~2hr Killing Floor session..
Killing Floor is a UT2k4 mod that *requires* everyone to communicate and work as a team to hold off hordes of zombies, and it was awesome :D

So, spec me some more team based games I might like!

I'll start the list:

Killing Floor (UT2k4 mod)
Alien Swarm (UT2k4 mod, being developed on Source)
 
left 4 dead out soon you + 3 other mates vs zombies, either, AI's or a combo of AI + human specials.
 
Been waiting for the Source version for AGES!! Played the UT version, and its great!

- the R6 series up to RVS
- GR
- CS
- Operation Flashpoint
- Joint Operations
- Arma

just to name a few.

Of course you can play TF2, COD4 as teams, but the community as a whole in these games is not as team focused as the ones mentionned above (heavily dependant on individual servers). Funny you mention UT as a good example of team based, my experience with UT games is the exact opposite (this is why I do not tend to play them), of course i have not played the mentionned mods so have no judgement on those. Although it surprises me.
 
SWAT 4 + Addon Stetchkov Syndicate.

Theres nothing better than starting a game & instantly turning around & tazering/pepper balling or just plain punching your team mates in the face. :D :cool:

In Stetchkov you can do 10 player coop too.

Both game & addon (SWAT 4 Gold Edition) can be bought for £10 if you search for the gAmE.

Have you tried this (old favourite at the lans i've attended):

UT2k4 invasion mode on hardest difficulty and instagib - great late at night when you're swarmed by hordes with your friends
 
I *do* own TF2.. I guess I should give it a go at some point :P

Is it mostly TDM, or CTF? I'm a Team Fortress n00b ;)
 
TDM should never exist. It's mostly about capturing control points. CTF exists, but, meh. You actually need your other team members helping though, otherwise you'll lose. Unlike most other "team" games, where it's just a bunch of single players playing on the same team..
 
think they'l bring out killing floor for ut3 :D ? and i cant wait for left4dead!! looks awsome! and CS....teamwork.... hummm what servers you been playing? everyone i go on they all just run every which way and just go for gold on their own :p

get some people with mics (you'll find a lot of people on the server will have them but wont use them unless someone else does), get on a server, then you lot communicate and wait for the others on their own to die then play as a team :p

Kane vs Lynch multiplayer bank heist.

You all start on the same team, and share the money, but if one of your team mates die, either by enemy fire or by your own gun, then they turn into a cop and try to kill you.

Its very novel, do you kill your team mates making it harder to get the money, or take less money and work as a team?
 
Heh ive lost all faith in online team gaming... the large majority of players online are muppets and will run off on their own like a headless chicken at the start of every round
 
Serious Sam series has fun co-op, SWAT4 has co-op which is a bit crap but it's one of the greatest LAN games ever because you get to completely humiliate each other.

Hehe fun times to be had with this. Its also one of the games that lead to me being banned from using grenades by my mates...

That sounds quite cool, but neither me nor anyone I know owns the game :/

I'll see if I can find it el cheapo somewhere..
