Looking in to doing the Gumball 3000 on my motorcycle stab in the dark but would any motorcyclist on here done, thought about it.

Thinking more sports bike keep up with the big boy cars would any one like to talk more about this and try it. :D

Sponsorship i am thinking looking at the cars they seem to get a lot of it.

Most of the sponsors on the cars are mandatory from the organisers, you are allowed 2 small sponsor stickers of your own and they have to vet them before you're allowed iirc. How it used to be anyway :)

Very true but you could go a lot faster on a motorcycle getting there early and resting

I dont see the point in the gumball.

$55k to put a whole load of miles on your car, be sleep deprevated, fined by police, deal with other 'gumballers' poor driving and have to party with a bunch of cocky arrogant bankers.

i'd rather tour europe with some friends, save the money, have a better time and actually enjoy the sightseeing etc.

its £60,000 for new entrants for 2 people, and then another £20,000 per passenger

they never have motorbikes though do they?
plus this year they want to be 'carbon neutral', so if you have something 'green', you've got a greater chance of getting in..

Surprised it's even happening again after the huge ****up last time around.

To be honest I would've thought the £50k entrance fee was just the tip of the iceberg. I don't think you could realistic run Gumball unless £50k was a relatively inconsequential amount of money to you. You could easily spend tens of thousands on the various luxuries and temptations along the way, not to mention bribes, etc.
