How not to buy/sell a car

this is one of the things i hate about buying used cars

only way id ever buy one is if we came to some sort of arrangement where the money got transferred on the day and you could walk away with the car, the day you agree a deal

no ill hand you £100 and come back in a few weeks. Just gives idiots like this ideas.

wonder how you could get 37k to somebody same day. Chaps payment ?

unless you're a bank robber you're not going to hand over 38k in cash

you'd have to have a whole rucksack full of notes. That could be interesting handing over that as payment

i know id give somebody funny looks handing over a suitcase / holdall full of notes.

The aforementioned 911S, two glorious laps around a makeshift circuit in a '74 Carrera RS, an admittedly quite tired 964 Carrera 4, a well looked after 964 Carrera 2 and a 996 Carrera 4. I'll freely admit that I've not exactly sampled every single facet of the 911 range, but I do know this much - the 911S was the best of the bunch, by miles. Not the fastest, not the most well equipped, not the most comfortable and in no shape, way or form the easiest to drive quickly. But it was bloody good fun, and I want to drive one again.

If a Series 1 E-Type wasn't my dream car, an early 911S or 911R would be in it's place.

I'm sorry JRS, you just need to be a passenger in a 993 Turbo and all you've said will go out the window.

i'm with JRS on this

the 993 Turbo is not about driver involvement. God its rapid

but its not about driver involvement. Its just about going places .... very very fast.

I took my 45 000 euro in cash to pay for my car from london to dusseldorf, all in the inside pocket of my jacket.

A turbo is never as good as a highly strung NA................EVER! ;)

Don’t know about that, from my very limited car experience I have found my 335i (3.0 twin turbo) to drive and feel like any other NA car I have been in. It puts out a constant 306 bhp from 1300 rpm to 5000 rpm, you really cant even tell thats its Turbocharged but being a young lad I have not had that much car experience.

Difference between a 335i and a 993 Turbo - Is that the 993 has BRUTAL lag.

Drive a CSL and you will instantly feel the difference I promise you. It goes to 8000 rpm and makes an induction bark like nothing else. 335i is a great car, but you need to drive a really great NA engine and, to me at least, their is no contest.......well up to now at least. You never know what's around the corner.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't change my mind....if the Carrera RS couldn't (and Lord knows it tried), a 993 Turbo has no chance :p

The only point i got worried was when they made me put it through the x-ray machine

supprised you didnt get questionned

apparently the Euro is becomming a favourite for Drug dealers and money launderers due to the $500 and $200 euro notes

£500 euro note ffs, i mean can you imagine having a £400 note here ? our biggest is £50. No wonder the crims love the euro.
