Ok, I have an ATi X800XT (I know, but I don't game any more), which I think may be about to die.

Things I have noticed:

1. Images show some form of corruption - patches of the image show small pinky-red marks, and if I pan the image around I get more.

2. During video playback, either AVI/Divx or from DVD, I have flashing blue and red spots over the image.

Now, the interesting thing about point 1 is that I can print screen the 'corruption' and zoom in on it, and it appears as if it is part of the image - so I think it rules out by Bravia being duff.

I'm using 7.10 drivers, but have had the problem with others, even my trusty 5.13s.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Scort.

Might be worth running atitool and seeing if you get any artifacts at stock speed.

Did a run on ATI tool, but it looks like this:

Don't recall it looking like that when I used to use that app

Not sure if this will work, but this is the 'corruption' I normally see:

What temps are you getting?

Cards after a long time can get their coolers blocked up with dust and gunk

I'd second that.

I would definitely be giving the fan/heatsink a clean.

My friend had a prob with his card overheating and a good clean out of all the dust/gunk on the card sorted it.

Never over 40c, the heatsink and card were cleaned last month and look fine.
