2 Way radio advice needed

Hello,

It was mentioned at work about getting some new 2 way radios to stay in touch with key staff and forklift truck drivers. Somehow it ended up being a little project for me to do.

I was wondering if any of you lot have any suggestions from good brands to a more specific model suggestion. Even it is just general advice on what to look for in a radio.

Some must haves:

Chargable
Very durable
Simple to use
Comes with ear piece/mic
Must have a very good signal

They are to be used inside a 100,000 sq/ft warehouse that we are having built and will be surrounded by a fair bit of metal so it is important that they have the ability to communicate in this environment.

any suggestions?

We use 8 of these and they do the job in a School which is mostly built with steel

If your using them in a very noisy environment try and get hold of bone conducting ear pieces for them, we use them at work and they are cracking when the musics on loud

Have a word with Martin Lynch & Sons. I use them for my radio gear, they will offer expert advice.

Lynchie's into PMR as well is he? I remember him at Bernie and Brenda's when they were at the gyratory.

Yes he is. I first met him when he opened his first shop in Northfields.

thanks for the advice, however I can't go to a shop for advice etc as this was given to me friday in order to get sorted for monday!

Not a lot of time to really investigate anything.
