I have been recording some eagles songs in my home studio! :) Here's the first of many:

I Don't want to hear anymore

Credits:

Organ, Bass, Drums, Vocals, Backing Vocals, Synth Strings, Synth Pads etc: Francis Barrett (Me)

Sounds pretty well done to me, I was going to point out that you might want to appeal to non-Eagles fans in case you make a bad job of it ;) but given the little I know about music it sounds quite well produced. A touch slow for my tastes although I can't remember the original to compare it to but I'll definitely have a listen to the rest when you put them up. :)

Details on how you recorded it and what with please.

Between 88 and 92 I played in a band called Revolution who did covers of Eagles, James Taylor, Poco, Jackson Browne, Timothy B Schmitt, CSN&Y as well as a lot of AOR eg Survivor, Kansas etc.
I've just sent that track to a mate who I went to see The Eagles with twice.
Excellent.

Thanks man! It took about 3 hours total to record and about 6 to mix and process etc...

Mics Used:

Drum Set:
Shure PG52 (on kick)
Shure PG56 (toms)
Shure SM57 (Snare)
AKG Perception 100 x2 (overheads)

Guitar:
AKG Perception 100 (Off centre to cone)

Vocals:
AKG Perception 100 (With SE Electronics Pop Guard)

Other Equipment:

Behringer Xenyx 2222FX Mixer (Mic Preamp)
M-audio Delta 1010LT (Audio Interface/Soundcard)
Keystation 49e (Midi Controller)




Organ, Bass and strings were done with Virtual instruments in Logic Audio Platinum 5.3 for PC.
 
A stunning cover! :eek: Just listening to the original and I love how you are very close to it but not so close that it is a straight copy. Any more of these songs? :)
 
So when you become famous, can OCUK have free download of your music :D. I've never heard of these songs before but what you did was brilliant.
