This thread makes me feel so bad about my case

When I get home for summer, this is going to be the first thing I do. Pull everything out and put it all together again.
Little question. Does it matter which sata plugs I plug my hard drives into? I'm guessing not, but I wouldn't like to unplug them, then have to remember which one plugged in where.

Well, it only took me about an hour, if that, to get my case that tidy. As for SATA cable placement, perhaps thats a question for the hard drive section of this forum. From my understanding, it dosn't matter too much although i was advised to put my primary HD on the SATA 1 connection.

Quick question for you '900 owners. I know there isn't much room in the case, but are there any of the good CPU coolers that wouldn't be able to fit on it? Things like the Tuniq Tower.

tuniq tower does fit but u have to remove side fan if you have one

i have zalman 9500 with side fan

I was only referring to the holes that look like they've been hacked out, but yes - better results with a modular PSU, plus the EVGA cards always look good.

It looks hacked out because the edges are covered in gaffer tape as i couldn't find anything to cover the bare metal edges.
They were cut with a dremel and i used a stone wheel on the dremel to get rid of the bur on the edges.
A couple of the cables were tight so i thought rather than risk cutting the insulation on a wire , put some gaffer tape on the cut edges.
It looked ok at first but the tape dosent like sticking to the metal motherboard tray

and has now come loose

Another quick question since I don't have my 900 to hand, and want to put in an order sooner rather than later. Would a Thermalright’s IFX-14 fit in the case? I see its taller than the Tuniq tower, and if you needed to remove a side fan for that one, would the IFX-14 fit at all?

Yep EVGA 8800GTS 640Mb Overclocked , core 700Mhz , Memory 1000Mhz and shader clock linked to the core

Tower: - Dimensions: 131mm x 108mm x 153mm
IFX: - Heatsink Dimension: 146.2mm x 124mm x 161mm

0.8cm diifference. Its not much, but if the tower is a tight fit...

ok, just measured the distance and there appears to be about an inch between the window and the top of the tunic. hope that helps

Ah, thats awsome. One last question please. The case has the clips on it for mounting a fan on the removable side, will those get in the way? I don't think so, but I'm away from my PC untill wednesday, and I'm looking to order everything so I have it sitting, waiting for me when I get back to my flat
