Been searching the net for the past hour, using beer in the evening and google, and have not been to successful.

I never thought it would be that hard!

if you have hired, or can recommend somewhere please do!

Here's what i'm after
- a bar that's nice
- a private area (70 people approx)
- karaoke (if needs be we can hire someone to do this)
- cost not excessive, if we could get a upto £600 minimum spend that'd be great.

Locations
- angel/islington
- shoreditch
- kings cross
- west end (soho)

If you could suggest anywhere i'd most appreciate it.

It's a multiple joint bday with girls, they want some private room. My fear is that it will end up rubbish!

£8 per drink wow. I know London costs a lot these days but thats a crazy price

they are swanky cocktails. Its £4 a bottle of beer.

All i want to do is hire a room, then hire a karaoke guy and stick him in there, and have a laugh. and for it not to cost the earth.

why is that so damn hard!!

I would keep looking as you have already said the place doesnt even look that nice. I mean with prices like that and the place not looking great it sounds like it wouldnt be a great night. I mean if you find somewhere thats really nice and has everything then you might not mind paying that sort of price.

Sounds Impossible tbh. Don't wish to urinate on your BBQ, however this scenario is highly doubtful. 70 people, £600, karaoke and private room. You're having a laugh if you want all of this in London and in a good area and in a nice bar.
Put your minumum spend up by a few times and then you'll be talking.
Otherwise guestlist everyone for a nightclub and try and get VIP lounge, but with 70 this is doubtful.
Sorry to bring you bad news mate.

One of my friends spoke of some crazy Korean karaoke place in central London which was bring your own beer. It wasn't exactly posh but by the sound of it was epic fun.

Why bother going to a London Bar for a private party? Just get everyone on a guest list at a club, or go hire a conference room/function room at a large pub or hotel.
